Wagon Wheel Theatre to Celebrate 400th Production with THE WEDDING SINGER, Begin. 7/17

By:

Tradition and commitment. Regarded as one of the nation's best regional theaters, The Wagon Wheel Theatre's professional productions have been a marriage of excellence spanning 58 years. What better way to celebrate the Wagon Wheel Theatre's 400th professional production than a cleverly funny show about marriage and commitment, The Wedding Singer, running July 17-27?

Opening night is sold out; however tickets are still available for the shows July 18-27. Those with tickets to opening night, should participate in the 1980's costume contest and an 80's karaoke contest and more. Prizes include season tickets to the Wagon Wheel Theatre's 2014 summer season.

About the show: The Wedding Singer is set in 1985 and Robbie Hart is a professional entertainer who lives with his Grandma Rosie in New Jersey. He makes his living singing and playing with his band at wedding receptions. After he publicly announces his own wedding day, his fiancé dumps him at the altar. Based on the original motion picture starring, Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore, The Wedding Singer opened on Broadway in 2006 and was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Musical.

Staged by award-winning Artistic Director, Scott Michaels, The Wedding Singer is 1980's nostalgia at its best. The show is lively, funny, and heartwarming. The Wagon Wheel Theatre is committed to staging the newest shows as well as the classics.

The Wedding Singer runs July 17-27 only at the Wagon Wheel Theatre. Tickets for tickets range from $16-$34. Discounts are available for college students and on designated performances for seniors. For more information visit wagonwheeltheatre.org or call 574-267-8041.
