SBCT to Present STOP KISS at the Firehouse Theatre

By: Mar. 14, 2016

The weekends of March 25th-26th and April 1st-2nd, Stop Kiss, written by Diana Son, will be under the lights of the SBCT's Firehouse Theatre on Portage Road. Lucinda Moriarty directs the achronological story of Callie and Sara in an intermission-free play about injustice, fear, homophobia, intolerance, and love.

Callie and Sara are new friends in New York, and what starts as a friendship takes a turn for the romantic. The story of these two women and those around them is told in an artistically fractured journey, jumping back and forth from Callie's apartment, to a police interrogation room, to Sara's bedside in the hospital. Whose side are George and Peter on? Will the men in Callie and Sara's lives support them, judge them, or be indifferent in the spirit of self-preservation as the world collapses around both women?
