By:

The Morris Performing Arts Center, South Bend, continues to shine on the Pollstar 2013 Third Quarter Top 100 Worldwide Theatre Venue rankings. The Morris is listed at #62 based on January 1 to September 30, 2013, ticket sales, as reported in Pollstar magazine, the concert industry's leading trade publication. South Bend's favorite live performance venue shines alongside such well-known venues as Radio City Music Hall in New York City and the Fox Theatres in Atlanta and Detroit, and ranks above the Embassy Theatre in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and DeVos Performance Hall in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The Pollstar 2013 Third Quarter rankings include 25 venues located in other countries.

Originally opening in 1922, The Morris is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and was completely restored and renovated in 2000. The MAGNIFICENT Morris is the HOTTEST TICKET in Northwest Indiana for live entertainment! The theater hosts a wide variety of concerts, national Broadway touring musicals, symphony, dance, comedians, and is home to the South Bend Symphony Orchestra and Broadway Theatre League. Visit the Morris website at www.MorrisCenter.org for a full calendar of events and services.

The Morris has a fixed seating capacity of 2,500 and has been consistently ranked each year since 2000 by Pollstar concert industry magazine among the top 100 theaters worldwide. The Morris was awarded a "Prime Site Award" by Facilities Magazine for 8 consecutive years (2006-2013) (voted on by over 10,000 people in the entertainment industry - booking agents, promoters, talent buyers and special event planners.) The Morris has been voted the South Bend Tribune Readers Choice Award for "Favorite Entertainment/Live Performance Theater" for 11 consecutive years (2003-2013.)
