Michiana PlayMakers presents the new play, Moment of Truth, by Bill Svelmoe, July 29, 2015 at 7:30 pm at The Drop Comedy Club, 822 South Lafayette Blvd. in South Bend. This comedy illustrates the phrase, "You can't choose your family," with hilarious results.
Two estranged brothers, raised by fundamentalist missionaries, have both since left the church and gone their separate ways. They are brought together outside the courtroom where their eldest brother stands trial for bombing an abortion clinic. As the brothers await the verdict, they argue religion, life and brotherhood in an effort to reconnect.
Directed by Jim Geisel and featuring Mark Moriarty and Bill Svelmoe, Moment of Truth presented as a staged reading. Tickets are $5 and $7 at the door, cash only. Michiana PlayMakers is dedicated to the development of new and original work for the theatre.
