Cabaret Poe Celebrates 10th Anniversary At The Phoenix Theatre!

By: Oct. 10, 2018

Cabaret Poe Celebrates 10th Anniversary At The Phoenix Theatre! ImageCabaret Poe opened this weekend with a daunting success at the box office. With almost the entire weekend sold out, The Phoenix Theatre expects this show to be a Halloween hit. Cabaret Poe celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. Coincidentally, opening night was Cabaret Poe's 100th performance.

Indianapolis is extremely fortunate to have Ben Asaykwee, the writer of Cabaret Poe and artistic director of Q-Artistry, living in the community. With such original talent, Asaykwee stars in this murderous musical as one of the four characters on stage. This show is jam-packed with original music and 12 of Edgar Allan Poe's most famous works.

Audiences will be seeing a lot of Asaykwee's work this season at the Phoenix; he will be directing A Very Phoenix 13: Merry Superstitious and another one of his original works, with a cast of 100% women! White City Murder, will make its way to the stage June 14th of 2019.

Join us this Halloween season to enjoy Asaykwee's clever and witty take on Edgar Allan Poe's best works. Cabaret Poe runs October 5- November 4, Thursdays at 7pm, Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sunday matinees at 2pm. Tickets are $33-37, available at the Box Office by calling 317-635-7529 or visiting PhoenixTheatre.org.
