Ammiel Bushakevitz was born in Jerusalem, but subsequently moved to South Africa and regards this very much as his home. He studied at the University of Pretoria, the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy in Leipzig, Germany and the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris in Paris, France. He has been awarded a host of awards and scholarships over the past few years. Known to South African audiences mainly as chamber partner to his violin sister, Avigail – this concert sees him establish himself firmly as a solo pianist in this country, following the success of his debut CD of an all Schubert programme which he will perform for the concert series in the annual Kramer Jubilee Trust Recital.
