MAXIM STARKE'S CAPE DIMENSIONS, an ambient, experimental music concert will play the Alexander Upstairs this October. The hour-long presentation promises an experience that is not to be missed. Audience members are invited to bring their imaginations.

A rare performance of explorative soundscapes, MAXIM STARKE'S CAPE DIMENSIONS offers ambient music by Maxim Starcke (electronics, electric guitar, sax, sound design) and featuring Brydon Bolton (double bass, electronics) and Frank Mallows (vibraphone, cymbals, percussion).

The trio will re-envision, live, Starcke's twenty-minute immersive composition, "Cape Dimensions," which will feature alongside other compositions and adventures in evocative sound realms. "Cape Dimensions" was first performed at the Unyazi Electronic Music Festival in 2016.

MAXIM STARKE'S CAPE DIMENSIONS takes over the Alexander Upstairs on 22 October at 19:00. Tickets are available from the Alexander Bar website, with seats costing R80 if booked and prepaid online or R90 if paid on collection at the bar. For telephone enquiries, call 021 300 1652. The Alexander Bar, Café and Theatre is situated at 76 Strand Street in the Cape Town city centre and can be followed on Facebook and Twitter.

Maxim Starcke is a South African composer, a multi-instrumentalist playing classical and electric guitar, saxophones, and electric bass, a music producer, an artist and an educator. He was born and lives in Cape Town.
