MY VROU SE MAN SE LYK SE TAS Returns to the State Theatre and Announces Tour Dates in South Africa
This year, Lefra Productions is presenting the Ray Cooney farce FUNNY MONEY in Afrikaans as MY VROU SE MAN SE LYK SE TAS. One of Cooney's very successful farces from London's West End, this produciton was translated and adapted by Peet van Rensburg and has been directed by Frans Swart. After the recent runaway success of MY VROU SE MAN SE LYK SE TAS at the State Theatre in Pretoria, Lefra and the State Theatre decided to bring back this laugh-a-minute farce for one week only from 14 to 19 May, also announcing the following national tour dates for the show:
- 28 May - 2June 2013: Sand du Plessis Theatre, Bloemfontein
- 26-29 June 2013: Innibos Lowveld National Arts Festival, Nelspruit
- 1-7 July 2013: Roodepoort Promusica Theatre, Roodepoort
- 10-21 July 2013: Artscape Theatre, Cape Town
- 14-29 October 2013: Marcellus Theatre, Emperors Palace, Kempton Park

MY VROU SE MAN SE LYK SE TAS revolves around Henry Perkins, a typical suburban accountant, who on a trip by train accidentally switches his case with that of another man, only to find out that the bag contains a small fortune. What follows is a frenetic series of unforseen events, all at a frenetic pace and full of hysterical humour.
