Bryce Kendall: Keeper of Keys Launches Debut EP at Alexander Upstairs

Keeper of Keys is Bryce Kendall's debut EP. Recorded at Pennylane Studios, this album has been months in the making and is finally ready to go public. Bryce is a singer-songwriter inspired by the likes of John Mayer, Dave Matthews and Jeff Buckley. Join Bryce and his band at Alexander Upstairs for an intimate evening of original music.
Bryce Kendall is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Cape Town. He experiments with blues, folk and funk to create an unusual style of acoustic rock music, carried by his accomplished guitar playing, soulful harmonica, and robust vocals.
Bryce's song writing layers memorable melodies over intricate guitar-work and percussive picking techniques. He is at his best when indulging in extended bluesy grooves that evolve through a range of sonic moods within a single song. This natural storyteller's entertaining lyrics invite audiences to step into his world.
A self-professed gear head, Bryce uses guitar and vocal pedals to create a high-impact sound, whether he is performing solo or with a band. His live shows are energetic and powerful, filled with improvisation, rich vocal harmonies and musical ingenuity.
