POPArt Theatre, in partnership with Joburg Theatre Space.com, will present the third annual 12/12 FESTIVAL, a theatrical event showcasing short-form works representing South Africa’s 12 official languages.

The festival will feature twelve original plays, each running approximately twelve minutes and performed in a different language. The works span a range of genres and styles, with an emphasis on language as a central storytelling element. The festival runs over four days, with three performances presented each day.

“The 12/12 festival is more than a celebration of diversity,” said POPArt co-founder Hayleigh Evans. “It encourages artists to make work in languages that are best for their own expression and invites audiences to engage with theatre as a visual and emotional experience.”

April 24 at 7:00 p.m.
