The Board of Trustees of American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University, under the leadership of Terrie and Bradley Bloom Artistic Director Diane Paulus and Executive Director Diane Borger, raised a record $1.3 million in support of the theater's artistic, community, and education programs at a Monday, March 5 gala that honored A.R.T. Trustee Paul Buttenwieser with the theater's Angel Award. More than 400 guests attended the event at the Boch Center Wang Theatre.

freeFall Theatre Company presents The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams, February 2 - February 25, 2018. Widely regarded as an American classic, The Glass Menagerie stars Rob Glauz (Tom Wingfield), Stephanie Lynge (Amanda Wingfield), Ali Foley (Laura Wingfield) and Michael David (Jim O'Connor). The Glass Menagerie opens February 2 and marks the return to freeFall's newly refurbished black box space. freeFall sustained extensive damage to performance space during Hurricane Irma.

PlayMakers Repertory Company presents "The Christians" by 2017 Tony-nominated playwright, Lucas Hnath. The production, which is directed by Triad Stage founder Preston Lane, runs from February 1 to March 10, 2018 in rotating repertory with the Moliere classic "Tartuffe" (adapted by David Ball).

Beth Marshall Presents brings the long-awaited Central Florida premiere of Martin McDonagh's The Lieutenant of Inishmore to the Garden Theatre from February 2- 25, 2018. Directed by Mark Routhier with a star-studded cast and creative team, The Lieutenant of Inishmore is supported by The Wine Bar at Tim's Wine Market, Avalon Park.

Directed by Actors Theatre Artistic Director Les Waters, Little Bunny Foo Foo will begin preview performances January 9, open January 11 and run through February 4 in the Bingham Theatre as part of the Brown-Forman Series, with the production underwritten by D. D. Williamson.

TheatreWorks Silicon Valley breaks new ground in 2017 by adding a second holiday show to its season, The Santaland Diaries at the intimate 180-seat Lohman Theatre in Los Altos Hills. Written by David Sedaris, this rollicking one-man cure for an overdose of holiday hype will have a limited three-week run. Sedaris' international career as a memoirist took off when he recounted his short tenure at Macy's as Crumpet the Elf in an essay which he read on NPR's Morning Edition in 1992. Adapted by Joe Mantello, this unique yuletide hit shares the experience of an ill-equipped elf forced to confront child meltdowns, overbearing parents, and complacent Santas. Directed by Jeffrey Lo and starring Max Tachis as David/Crumpet, The Santaland Diaries will be presented December 5 23, 2017 (opening nights: December 7-8) at Lohman Theatre, 12345 S.  Porchlight Music Theatre and Artistic Director Michael Weber are proud to announce the first mainstage production it its 2017 - 2018 season Billy Elliot the Musical, music by Elton John and book and lyrics by Lee Hall, with direction and choreography by Porchilght Artistic Associate Brenda Didier, with Associate Choreographer Craig V. Miller and music direction by Porchlight Artistic Associate Linda Madonia at Porchlght's new home, the Ruth Page Center for the Arts, 1016 N. Dearborn Street. Previews are Friday, Oct. 6 and Oct. 13 at 8 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 7 and Oct. 14 at 8 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 8 at 2 p.m., Monday, Oct. 9 at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 12 at 7:30 p.m. Opening night is Sunday, Oct. 15 at 6 p.m. The regular run performance schedule is Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Fridays at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. and Sundays at 6 p.m. (October 22, October 29 and November 5) and at 2 p.m. (November 12 and 19) with an open captioned performance, Saturday, Oct. 28 at 4 p.m. and a weekday matinee Thursday, Nov. 16 at 1:30 p.m. Please note: there is no 7:30 p.m. performance Thursday, Nov. 16.
