This weekend, producers Robert Fox and RZO Entertainment Inc are exclusively releasing the filmed London production of Lazarus for three streamed performances only, January 8-10, in remembrance of David Bowie on his birthday and to mark the fifth anniversary of his untimely death.

Sao Paulo's artistic scene gets a new stage this week. Unimed Theater comes with the promise of becoming a space of excellence for culture in the city. Located in one of the most central points of Sao Paulo, on the corner of Rua Augusta and Alameda Santos, just one block from Paulista Avenue, the architectural project bears the signature of architect Isay Weinfeld. Producers Monique Gardenberg and Jeffrey Neale are responsible for curating the show, which opens August 22 with David Bowie's Lazarus, directed by Felipe Hirsch.

Just this morning, Something Rotten and Spotlight star Brian d'Arcy James along with this season's break-out and genuflecting sensation Jennifer Simard from Broadway's Disaster announced the The Outer Critics Circle nominees for the 2015-16 season from New York's legendary Algonquin Hotel (59 W 44th Street.) Outer Critics Circle nominations are the first major Broadway/Off-Broadway award nominees of the New York theater season. Of note, because they were eligible last year for their Off-Broadway incarnations, HAMILTON, BLACKBIRD and DISASTER! were only eligible for new elements.

The news was shared on Bowie's official Facebook : January 10 2016 -David Bowie died peacefully today surrounded by his family after a courageous 18 month battle with cancer. New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) presents Lazarus byDavid Bowie and Enda Walsh (Once, Tony Award), inspired by the novel The Man Who Fell to Earth by Walter Tevis, and directed by Ivo van Hove (Hedda Gabler, More Stately Mansions, Obie Awards). Lazarus officially opens tonight, December 7, 2015, and will now run through January 17, 2016 at New York Theatre Workshop (79 E. 4th Street New York, NY 10003). True story: in 1953, iconic L.A. architects Richard Neutra and Rudolph Schindler, onetime friends and business partners who had been bitterly estranged for 23 years, found themselves, by a vagary of fate, occupying the same hospital room in Cedars of Lebanon Hospital. Ensemble Studio Theatre/LA presents a site-specific production in which playwright/director Tom Lazarus imagines what might have transpired during that reunion. Ray Xifo and John Nielsen star as Neutra and Schindler, with Heather Robinson in the role of Nurse Rothstein. The world premiere of THE PRINCES OF KINGS ROAD opens on September 12 for a four-week run at the architecturally significant Neutra Institute and Museum of Silverlake.
