Featuring winners from Elvis Presley Enterprises' annual, worldwide Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest, the national hit theatrical Elvis Lives is an unforgettable multi-media and live musical journey across Elvis' life. The three Elvis tribute artists, each representing Elvis during different stages in his career, will be joined by a live band, back-up singers and dancers, an Ann-Margret tribute artist, and a display of iconic imagery made available from the Graceland archives. While Barbra Streisand was celebrating her 72nd birthday yesterday, Christopher J. Hanke took to the cellar to wish the greatest star a happy birthday! Following the performance of the smash hit comedy Buyer & Cellar, Hanke started the crowd in a rousing rendition of "Happy Birthday" and brought out a cake and party hats to celebrate. The New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players, America's preeminent professional Gilbert & Sullivan repertory company, launches its G&S Fest 2013-14, presenting iconic classic productions of The Pirates of Penzance and Patience when the company returns to Symphony Space (2537 Broadway at 95th Street) on December 27th for a strictly limited engagement through January 5th. TACT/The Actors Company Theatre presents Natural Affection by William Inge, the first production of the company's 21st Season. Directed by TACT Co-Artistic Director Jenn Thompson, performances begin at Theatre Row's Beckett Theatre (410 West 42nd Street - between 9th & 10th Avenues) on Tuesday, September 17, 2013. Last night, July 30th, the hit off-Broadway show Potted Potter celebrated the birthday of 'Harry Potter' and J.K.Rowling, who share a birthday on Wednesday, July 31st. Since they live in the UK, five hours ahead of NY, Potted Potter celebrated their birthday on Tuesday evening in order to be the first to wish them a 'happy birthday.' The audience was invited to participate in the birthday celebration (cake, wands, pottering and singing!) immediately following the show. It was theatre magic at its best: rain lightly came down on closing night as the entire cast of LES MISERABLES at The Muny belted out 'The Epilogue' one more time. The audience lept to their feet as the final notes hung in the air. All week long, The Muny experienced a complete standing ovation before the curtain call began, something that Muny goers said hasn't happened in at least 35 years. The cast of LES MISERABLES experienced the audience's appreciation all week long and their final performance was no exception.

On March 8, 2013, The New York Pops continued its 30th season with an evening of swinging favorites in Luck Be a Lady: Megan Hilty Sings Sinatra and More. Music Director and Conductor Steven Reineke led the orchestra as it tipped its hat to the Rat Pack, Ella Fitzgerald, Marilyn Monroe, and other stars from the golden age of entertainment. The performance featured Megan Hilty, Broadway singer and star of the television show Smash, and Ryan Silverman, one of Broadway's favorite leading men. The program included 'Luck Be a Lady,' 'Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend,' music from Smash and more. BroadwayWorld was there and brings you photos from the concert below!
