Chicago Shakespeare Theater presents Cyrano de Bergerac, launching the Theater's 2013-2014 Season. CST's new production of Edmond Rostand's timeless classic, adapted and translated by Anthony Burgess, marks the return to CST of director Penny Metropulos and film and stage actor Harry Groener, the duo behind the Theater's award-winning 2011 production of The Madness of George III. Featuring some of the most romantic and witty verse written for the stage, Cyrano de Bergerac is a poignant and entertaining homage to poetry, love and panache which will run in CST's Courtyard Theater now through November 10, 2013. Private Lives had its opening in Toronto this afternoon, and debuted to an extremely enthusiastic crowd and great reviews. Starring Kim Cattrall (reprising the role she created in the West End) and Paul Gross, the show will enjoy a 6 week run in Toronto before heading to Broadway in November of 2011. This fall, Mirvish Productions brings the critically acclaimed UK production of Noel Coward's Private Lives to Toronto for a pre-Broadway run at The Royal Alexandra Theatre. Kim Cattrall leads the cast, and on May 31st it was announced that Canadian stage and screen actor Paul Gross would join her as her co-star. The production features ensemble members Alana Arenas, Kate Arrington, Jon Michael Hill, James Vincent Meredith, Yasen Peyankov and Molly Regan with De'Adre Aziza, Jeremy Glickstein, Sean Allan Krill, TaRon Patton, Namir Smallwood, Samuel Taylor, Allison Torem and Jacqueline Williams. The Hot L Baltimore plays March 24 - May 29, 2011 in Steppenwolf's Downstairs Theatre, 1650 N. Halsted St. The press performances are Saturday, April 2 at 3 pm and Tuesday, April 5 at 7:30 pm.

Michael Attenborough will direct Kieran Bew (Man) Abigail Cruttenden (Angela), Lisa Dillon (Lucy) Margot Leicester (Barbara) and Sophie Stanton (Marina) in the world premiere of David Eldridge's The Knot of the Heart which will run at the Almeida from 10 March - 30 April, with press night on 17 March 2011. The Knot of the Heart is designed by Peter McKintosh with lighting by Tim Mitchell and sound and music by Dan Jones.

Broadway's cuddliest cast kicked off a new year with the 14th edition of THE BROADWAY BEARS auction yesterday, Sunday, March 6, 2011 at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill, produced by and benefitting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Sure to out-do last year's collection, 43 one-of-a-kind, autographed BROADWAY BEARS - each dressed in original, handmade costumes representing some of the theater's most legendary performers and performances - will be put up for auction.
