It was all in the family and all for the family at The Friars Club last night. La Famiglia, Mishpucha, La Familia, CeMbR, Rat Pack, Broadway and Cabaret, were assembled by producers Laura Slutsky and Jamie at the Friars for a spectacular Jamie deRoy & friends show last night. You had to be in the family or know someone in the family to get into the sold out event. Probably no family gathering had so much fun, good food, and great performances as this one did.

Southwark Playhouse presents a major revival of the Jerry Herman/Michael Stewart Hollywood musical, Mack and Mabel, starring Norman Bowman as Mack and Laura Pitt-Pulford (who received rave reviews as Lucille Frank in Parade) as Mabel, directed by Thom Southerland and produced by Danielle Tarento. The show will run for an 8-week season at The Vault at Southwark Playhouse, now through Saturday, August 25. Press night is tomorrow, July 11 at 7.30pm. Artistic Director Robert Lyons presents the 19th annual Obie Award-winning Ice Factory Festival. Ice Factory 2012 begins the festival's next exciting era at its new West Village space, the New Ohio Theatre, located at 154 Christopher Street between Greenwich and Washington Streets. Ice Factory 2012 will feature two World Premieres, two New York Premieres and one Manhattan Premiere over six weeks, running from June 27 - August 4, 2012. Written by acclaimed playwright David Rabe and directed by Scott Jackson, STICKS AND BONES is a darkly humorous story of a "perfect" family dealing with the horrors of war's aftermath when their eldest son returns home scarred physically and mentally. Winner of the Tony Award for its original production in 1971, the play continues to resonate as a scathing look at the cost of war on family.

Gingold Theatrical Group continued its sixth sold-out year of PROJECT SHAW yesterday with Shaw's first commercial success, the rarely produced satire FANNY'S FIRST PLAY which was initially written anonymously.

For the first time in its 11 year history, Manhattan Theatre Source - called 'one of the top Off-Off Broadway theatres in New York' by New York Magazine - will present an open-ended run of a theatre piece - THE GREENWICH VILLAGE FOLLIES - that has been developed through the company's development process. With music and lyrics by Doug Silver and book and additional lyrics by Andrew Frank, THE GREENWICH VILLAGE FOLLIES' opening night is set for June 28th, 2011.

The Broadway community once again opened its arms to the students of John A. Coleman Catholic High School of Hurley, New York. The school, which has gained a reputation for some of the best young musical theater talent in the Hudson River Valley, produced The Secret Garden in honor of the 20th anniversary of the show's Broadway debut in April of 1991. The cast of Coleman Musical Theater's production recently traveled into New York City to meet members of the original Broadway cast.
