Up On The Marquee: ORPHANS

ORPHANS will begin performances on March 19 and open on April 7 2013 at the Schoenfeld Theatre (236 West 45th Street), marking the first Broadway staging of the play. Alec Baldwin and Shia LaBeouf star in Lyle Kessler's play, directed by Daniel Sullivan and produced by Frederick Zollo and Robert Cole. Following the Pittsburgh engagement, FLASHDANCE will embark on a national tour to more than 25 cities in the next seven months with additional bookings to be announced soon. The box office opened yesterday for the Broadway revival of GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre on Tuesday, September 18th at 10am. GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS will begin its limited run with previews on Tuesday, October 16th and an official opening on Sunday, November 11. Check out photos of the marquee at the Schoenfeld Theatre below!

Bullet for Adolf, a new comedy by Woody Harrelson and Frankie Hyman, will receive its American premiere this summer. Directed by Mr. Harrelson (Academy Award® nominee - The Messenger, The People vs. Larry Flynt), performances will begin Thursday, July 19, 2012 at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street), with an official Opening Night set for Wednesday, August 8, 2012. The production is scheduled to play through Sunday, September 9, 2012. Woody Harrelson and the creative team just met the press today, and you can check out a photo preview of the festivities below! Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) continues its 2008/2009 Season with the New York premiere of THE SAVANNAH DISPUTATION, a new play by Evan Smith (Psych and The Uneasy Chair at Playwrights Horizons, Remedial English for the Young Playwrights Festival at Playwrights Horizons, Servicemen at The New Group). This will be Mr. Smith's fourth collaboration with the theater company. Directed by Tony Award winner Walter Bobbie (Chicago, New Jerusalem), in his Playwrights Horizons debut, the production will began previews on Friday, February 6, 2009 with an Opening Night set for Tuesday, March 3 at 7PM. The limited engagement will run through Sunday, March 15 at Playwrights Horizons' Mainstage Theater (416 West 42nd Street).
