She has worked with directors Des McAnuff, Wilford Leach, Lynne Meadow, Garland Wright, Edward Berkeley, Melvin Bernhardt, Barnett Kellman, Bob Balaban and John Dillon on numerous projects. He established The Public Theater in what had been the Astor Library Building in Lower Manhattan. There Papp created a year-round producing home to focus on new plays and musicals. Recent work includes A Doll's House, Part 2; David Cale's We're Only Alive for a Short Amount of Time (Goodman Theatre); Romeo et Juliette (Metropolitan Opera); Alexei Ratmansky's Romeo and Juliet (The Bolshoi Theatre); Shen Wei's Neither (BAM); and Richard Nelson's Uncle Vanya (Hunter College).
