New visiting shows for 2026 at Scarborough's Stephen Joseph Theatre have been revealed! The lineup includes The Gruffalo, the much-loved magical, musical adaptation of the classic picture book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler and more.

LAGUNA PLAYHOUSE will present the hilarious farce, DON'T DRESS FOR DINNER, written by Marc Camoletti, adapted by Robin Hawdon, and directed by Christopher M. Williams (Tartuffe, Holmes & Watson).

Visiting Mr. Green, one of the most produced plays in the world in the past 25 years, is now available in its 2nd revised version from leading play publisher and licensor Dramatists Play Service, a division of Broadway Licensing.

The 85th Tanglewood season will offer audiences a wide range of programs and events that spotlight favorite guest artists and repertoire, while introducing dynamic new performers, conductors, and composers, with 48 artists in their Tanglewood or BSO debuts, and works by 28 living composers, including world premieres and five BSO commissions.

Mint Theater Company returns to New York City Ce nter Stage II with the American premiere of Noël Coward’s The Rat Trap, directed by Alexander Lass, opening Monday November 21st (7pm) at New York City Center Stage II for a limited Off-Broadway engagement through December 10th only.

Westport Country Playhouse will present a Script in Hand playreading of the comedy/drama, a?oeVisiting Mr. Greena?? by Jeff Baron, on Monday, November 18, at 7 p.m. The cast includes Tim Jerome as Mr. Green and Charles Socarides as Ross Gardiner. The reading will be directed by Anne Keefe, Playhouse associate artist and curator of the playreading series. Tickets are $20 each.

"War is Peace, Freedom is Slavery and Ignorance is Strength."  Greenway Arts Alliance Presents: George Orwell's 1984, directed by Kate Jopson as the first production of their novel to stage program Greenway Reads. 300 Fairfax High School students are reading the novel and will attend matinee's of the theatrical production. The adaptation by Alan Lyddiard creates an interactive and engaging experience for audience members. Jopson said, "We're trying to create an immersive experience. The elements of the play and its themes are all around us in the real world. We try to emphasize that and as soon as you arrive at the theater there's not anywhere you're not in the set of 1984, even in the lobby and bathrooms."
