Single tickets are now on sale for the inaugural REPRISE 2.0 production of Sweet Charity. Directed and choreographed by Kathleen Marshall, the classic Broadway hit plays from June 20 to July 1 at UCLA's Freud Playhouse. REPRISE 2.0 is led by producing artistic director Marcia Seligson.

Broadway In Chicago is delighted to announce that the seventh annual Illinois High School Musical Theatre Awards will be held at the Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place (175 E. Chestnut) on Monday, June 4, 2018, hosted by NBC 5's entertainment reporter LeeAnn Trotter, and will feature a workshop led by HAMILTON cast member Gabriella Sorrentino. Sponsored by NBC 5 and Guardian Music Travel, the Illinois chapter of The Jimmy Awards (National High School Musical Theatre Awards) serves as an annual national celebration of outstanding achievement in musical theater performance by high school students.

Casting is announced for two REPRISE 2.0 productions with two Tony Award leading actress nominees: Laura Bell Bundy (Legally Blonde - Tony Nomination, Hairspray, Anger Management) is to play Charity in Sweet Charity, directed and choreographed by three time Tony Award-winner Kathleen Marshall from June 20 to July 1, and Carmen Cusack (Bright Star - Tony Nomination, Wicked) is to play Victoria Grant in Victor/Victoria directed by Richard Israel and choreographed by John Todd from September 5 to 16 at UCLA's Freud Playhouse.

Artistic and Executive Director of Pacific Opera Project (POP) Josh Shaw was recently named 'One of Musical America's Top 30 Innovators in Classical Music.' Over the past six seasons, he has directed 23 productions at POP including THE RAKE'S PROGRESS, ARIADNE AUF NAXOS, and LA CALISTO. His reimagining of THE ABDUCTION FROM THE SERAGLIO as an episode of Star Trek has gained national attention and has been produced by seven companies.

4th Wall Theatre Company's 2017 - 2018 season wraps up with the regional premiere of Suzanne Bradbeer's hilarious comedy, Shakespeare in Vegas May 17 - June 9, 2018, at Studio 101, Spring Street Studios, 1824 Spring Street, Houston, TX 77007. 4th Wall offered a staged reading of the play during its 2017 "4th Wall Reads: Women's Voices" series. 4th Wall audiences will remember Bradbeer's work from the 2014 production of her political drama, The God Game.

Goodman Theatre announces two Sensory-Friendly/Relaxed Performances as part of its ongoing efforts to make the plays on stage accessible to all audiences. In partnership with Autism Speaks-Chicago, these performances are designed to create a performing arts experiences intended for families with members who have autism or other social, cognitive and physical challenges that create sensory sensitivities. The upcoming offerings include A Christmas Carol on December 29-building on the success of the first-ever performance offered this past year, during the 40th anniversary production of the Chicago holiday favorite, directed by Artistic Associate Henry Wishcamper.

WFSB Channel 3's Dennis House and Kara Sundlun will co-host the 19th annual West Hartford Mayor's Charity Ball, which will be held May 12, 2018 at West Hartford Town Hall.  The gala benefits two local charities, Playhouse on Park and The Town That Cares. Proceeds from last year's event covered important operating expenses for Playhouse youth programming, and helped The Town That Cares meet a significant uptick in requests for the Food Pantry.

Artistic Director Robert Falls announces Goodman Theatre's new 2018/2019 Season-a 14-play line-up of timely, original and inspired works curated by Falls in collaboration with his artistic associates. Rubicon Theatre presents a timely and trenchant production of Shakespeare's tragedy KING LEAR as the centerpiece of the company's 20th Anniversary Season. It was announced today that Elena Shaddow will join the Lincoln Center Theater production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's THE KING AND I as Anna Leonowens, beginning March 20 in Tempe, AZ.

This spring, Matthew Needham will feature in Summer and Smoke at the Almeida Theatre. Rebecca Frecknall's production marks his third show at the theatre this year, having never previously performed there before.
