Jan Maxwell Leads WINGS at Second Stage; Previews Begin Oct. 5, 2010

Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director) has announced that Tony Award nominee JAN MAXWELL will star in Arthur Kopit's acclaimed play WINGS this fall. Directed by Tony Award winner John Doyle (Sweeney Todd, Company), WINGS will begin previews at Second Stage Theatre (305 West 43rd street) on Tuesday, October 5. The production will officially open on Sunday, October 24.

Executive Producer Lou Spisto today announced the complete cast and creative team for the West Coast Premiere of Tony Award winner Joe DiPietro's The Last Romance. Old Globe Associate Artist and television icon Marion Ross will star with her longtime partner Paul Michael in the new romantic comedy which was written for them by DiPietro.

Casey Reitz, who is currently serving as the Director of Development at The Public Theater, has been named Executive Director at Second Stage Theatre, announced Founder and Artistic Director Carole Rothman. Mr. Reitz will join the award-winning company full-time in early September.

Olympia Entertainment And City of Detroit Work To Develop New Lease for Joe Louis Arena

Olympia Entertainment today informed the City of Detroit via personal phone call and hand-delivered letter that, pursuant to the terms of its current lease, Olympia Entertainment will not exercise its option to extend the current lease on the Joe Louis and Cobo Arenas for an additional 20 years.
