Mark Campbell is a DC native, and librettist of 28 operas, including the Pulitzer Prize-winning opera 'Silent Night,' which is currently playing at the Kennedy Center. Campbell has also written a number of musicals, and is currently working on multiple projects.

FIDDLER ON THE ROOF is a wonderful show about joy amidst harsh circumstances, the importance of family and community. It's also about Tradition! It's nice to see familiar things updated but not bastardized. The cast is consistently wonderful with harmonious singing and excellent dancing throughout the show, with visually striking staging of sequences that don't technically qualify as dances.

For the past several summers, I have attended the Festival of Arts and The Pageant of the Masters in Laguna Beach. But this year, I also decided to also visit two other art festivals along Laguna Canyon Road rather than spend any time cruising the town as I had done before. The full-day of exploring all the artistic delights on display this year at all three locations left me dazzled by all the talent on display, while wishing I had lot of extra income to purchase and bring home many of the awe-inspiring items that caught my fancy. But the real highlight of the day was viewing the abundance of 'local color' on display in this summer's 'Under the Sun' themed Pageant of the Masters.

Most men paid the fine and quietly slipped out of town. One man - a banker - committed suicide and two others sued the city. Playwright Tom Jacobson turned that dark chapter in the city's history into a play entitled The Twentieth Century Way.

Fittingly, it's coming to the Long Beach Playhouse.

Eagle Theatre's production of Jason Robert Brown's The Last Five Years has received its share of critical acclaim and standing ovations, with audiences hailing from all over the Delaware Valley and beyond.

John Wilson's military courtroom drama will be seen in London for the first time in over 30 years this summer to mark the centenary of the end of the First World War. The company is hard at work in rehearsals, check out the photos below!

The fifth edition of The Americas Film Festival of New York (TAFFNY), June 7-15, 2018, showcases feature films in fiction and documentary as well as shorts and animations that represent the rich diversity of cultures, languages and stories of the Americas. The Festival begins Thursday June 7, 6:30pm, at the Instituto Cervantes (211 East 49thStreet) with the New York premiere of Handia by Spanish directors Jon Garaño and Aitor Arregi. Handia, which means Giant in Basque language, is a touching drama about the tough life of mid-19th century traveling circus 'freaks'. 'An uneasy universe with complexity, subtlety, emotion and truth,' according to Carlos Boyero of the newspaper El Pais. The evening wraps up with a cocktail reception in the courtyard of Instituto Cervantes. All screenings are free and open to the public and foreign language films are subtitled in English.
