John Goodman and Tom Sturridge will join Damian Lewis in the major new revival of David Mamet's gripping 1975 playAmerican Buffalo. Directed by Daniel Evans, American Buffalo will play at Wyndham's Theatre for a strictly limited run from tonight 16 April - 27 June 2015.

Director Walter Meierjohann has announced the cast of the world premiere of The Funfair, the first HOME production in its brand new home at First Street in Manchester. An adaptation by Olivier Award-winning playwright Simon Stephens of Ödon von Horvath's classic 1932 play Kasimir and Karoline, the production features a cast of 13 actors and actor-musicians.

A panel of theater's great advocates and innovators-Carey Perloff, artistic director of San Francisco's legendary American Conservatory Theater, whose new book is Beautiful Chaos; the multiple award-winning actor, director and producer Olympia Dukakis; and Bill Irwin (who won a Tony Award for his appearance as George in the revival of Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf and received the first ever New Victory Arts Award for 'bringing the arts to kids and the kids to arts')-join former New York Times theater critic Margo Jefferson for an evening of enlightened and inspiring discussion about why theater matters and how theater fits into today's tech-infused world.

Griffin Theatre to Stage THE BIRDS at Theater Wit, 6/6-7/19

Griffin Theatre Company has announced its summer 2015 production: the Chicago premiere of the heart-pounding thriller THE BIRDS, adapted by acclaimed Irish playwright Conor McPherson and directed by ensemble member Kevin Kingston. THE BIRDS will play June 6 - July 19, 2015 at Theater Wit, 1229 W. Belmont Ave. in Chicago. Casting will be announced shortly. Sean Mathias Joins Creative Team of THE EXORCIST; Play Heading for Broadway?

BroadwayWorld has just learned that a stage version of The Exorcist is currently in the works, and Tony nominee Sean Mathias is on board to direct the project. The play, adapted by John Pielmeier, enjoyed a run at Los Angeles' Geffen Playhouse in 2012, starring Richard Chamberlain and Brooke Shields. Production details have not yet been announced.
