San Diego Repertory Theatre presents OUTSIDE MULLINGAR by John Patrick Shanley, the fourth production of its 40th Anniversary Season. REP Associate Artistic Director Todd Salovey directs his first production of the season, tackling Pulitzer, Tony and Oscar-winner Shanley's not-so-average romantic comedy set in Ireland. The show's run begins tonight, Jan. 21, 2016 and runs through Valentine's Day on Feb. 14, 2016 with an opening night on Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016 at 7 p.m. in the Lyceum Space Theatre at San Diego REP. Sacha Wares will be returning to Almeida Theatre to direct the world premiere of Leo Butler's new play Boy, after her directorial success with the critically acclaimed production, Game, by Mike Bartlett, in 2015.  Boy will run at the Almeida Theatre from 5 April until 28 May 2016, with press night on 12 April 2016. Director Sacha Wares is joined by a formidable creative team, including two powerhouse contemporary designers, Miriam Buether for set design (Wild Swans, Sucker Punch, My Child, Generations), who worked with Sacha on Game at the Almeida in 2015, and Ultz for costume (Jerusalem, Hobson's Choice, Fallout, Pied Pier), who will be collaborating with Miriam, on design, for the very first time. Further creative credits include movement by Leon Baugh, lighting by Jack Knowles and sound by Gareth Fry.

Confirming earlier rumors that NERDS THE MUSICAL will finally be heading to the Great White Way, BroadwayWorld has confirmed the show will premiere at the Longacre Theatre this spring.

This American Blonde Actress and Mississippi Mud Productions announce the first dates of the 2016 tour of SHARON TATE IN HEAVEN, beginning in Los Angeles for a return engagement, and with additional tour dates to follow in Florida, New York City and Long Island, NY, coinciding with the worldwide release of a film for new media version. It will play on the West Coast on February 5th and 6th for two shows only at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute on the the James Dean Soundstage, an 'environmental' TV studio setting.

MOTHER COURAGE AND HER CHILDREN will be directed by Brian Kulick and will feature original music by Tony Award winner Duncan Sheik. The official press opening is Thursday, January 7.

In what has become an annual ritual, a total of 36 established and emerging composers, lyricists, and librettists will converge on the Goodspeed campus from mid-January through mid-February 2016 to participate in the Johnny Mercer Foundation Writers Colony at Goodspeed Musicals. The writing teams, representing 19 new musicals, will populate the campus, creating a truly exciting environment for discovery and inspiration. The Old Globe today shared its 2016 Summer Season, which will feature new and familiar works directed by four major American stalwarts. The season features the welcome return of Steve Martin (Bright Star) with the World Premiere of his new play Meteor Shower, an adult comedy, directed by Gordon Edelstein, in a co-production with Long Wharf Theatre, where he serves as Artistic Director. Paul Gordon's musical Sense and Sensibility will have its West Coast premiere, presented in association with Chicago Shakespeare Theater, where it had its world premiere in February 2015, directed by CST Artistic Director Barbara Gaines. The Summer Shakespeare Festival will include Macbeth, directed by Brian Kulick, Artistic Director of Classic Stage Company, and Love's Labor's Lost, directed by three-time Tony Award winner Kathleen Marshall.

Due to popular demand, Target Margin Theater has added two performances to the encore presentation of REREAD ANOTHER, based on Gertrude Stein's 'Reread Another A Play To Be Played Indoors or Out I Wish to Be a School.'

?WaterTower Theatre (WTT) has announced the election of Derek Blount as Chairman and Ben Cunningham as President of the WaterTower Theatre Board of Directors.  WTT also announced the election of a slate of Board Officers including Vice President Wade Owens, Secretary Stan Graner, and Treasurer Jimmy Niemann.

Target Margin Theater, who last year dedicated their season to the exploration of works created by the great American novelist, poet and playwright Gertrude Stein, will launch their 2015-2016 Season with an encore presentation of Reread Another based on Gertrude Stein's 'Reread Another A Play To Be Played Indoors or Out I Wish to Be a School.'  Directed by David Herskovits, the three member cast will feature Clare Barron, Purva Bedi, and Ugo Chukwu.  Performances begin tonight, September 24, 2015 for a limited engagement through Saturday, October 17, 2015 at The Brick (579 Metropolitan Avenue, Brooklyn).   Opening night is set for Monday, September 28, 2015 at 7:30 p.m.

At the coming San Sebastian Festival, British actress Emily Watson will receive the Donostia Award in recognition of her prestigious film career.

In addition to the previously announced Michelle Dockery, Janet McTeer and Dominic West, the production will feature Adjoa Andoh, Theo Barklem-Biggs, Morfydd Clark, Edward Holcroft, Jennifer Saayeng and Una Stubbs.
