Australian folk/pop star SHELLEY SEGAL will make her Los Angeles debut on Sunday, August 9 at The Hotel Cafe in Hollywood, it was announced today by Chris Isaacson Presents. There will be one show only at 9pm. Tickets are $15 and available now.

Springfield, Vermont is calling all Steampunk aficionados and those curious to participate in the first ever Springfield Steampunk Festival. Presented by the Steampunk Society of Vermont and the Hartness House Inn, the festival is slated for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, September 11, 12 and 13 in Springfield, VT. Hi there! I'm Eric Jackson and I'm one of the handful of performers that has had the pleasure of being a part of Transcendence Theatre in Sonoma every summer since their first concert in 2011.  My path has taken me from Rochester, Michigan to The University of Michigan and then to NYC for the past 15 years.  But now I'm on a new path.  I accepted the position of Executive Assistant to the Artistic Director here at Transcendence and just recently moved to Wine Country to start a whole new chapter of my life!  On top of that, I am Associate Directing the 1st Concert, Co-Directing the 2nd Concert, and performing in all 4!  It's going to be a busy summer,     but it will all be worth it.  And as you follow this blog, hopefully you will understand the reason why I keep coming back and why I've decided to stay.

 Phoenix Theatre of Indianapolis announces the Indiana premiere of American Idiot opening tonight, June 4, 2015 on the Livia and Steve Russell Stage. This production runs through July 5, 2015, with Bryan Fonseca serving as director, Emily Ristine Holloway serving as Assistant Director, Tim Brickley and Jeanne Bowling serving as co-Musical Directors, and Cherri Jaffee and Mariel Greenlee serving as co-choreographers.

Tennessee Shakespeare Company (TSC), the Mid-South's professional classical theatre, in partnership with the University of Memphis' Department of Theatre & Dance presents a magical, family-friendly, Louisiana bayou-inspired production of A Midsummer Night's Dream on the U of M's Mainstage from tonight, June 4-21.

The national tour of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers is making its final stop in Fort Myers on the Broadway Palm stage from April 9 through May 23, 2015. The stage version of the popular MGM movie comes to life on stage. Seven Brides for Seven Brothers is a high-energy musical combining the classic, physical dancing styles with fun and energetic situations.

Kathy Evans, Founding Executive Director of Rhinebeck Writers Retreat, announced the 17 writers and 8 new musicals selected for the fifth summer of weeklong retreats. For eight consecutive weeks beginning July 5th, each writing team will have a residency in Rhinebeck, New York. Writers are provided a private home, transportation, food, and a $400 stipend. This year's writers include Obie winner Kirsten Childs, Tony nominee Elizabeth Davis, and 2015 Jonathan Larson award-winners Charlie Sohne, Tim Rosser, and Sam Willmott, who also just won the Kleban Prize.
