Following seven years of extraordinary creative output, Fadi Khoury (New York-based founder, Artistic Director, and the visionary engine behind the FJK Dance Company) has come through the pandemic with all his energies dedicated to a full reset—hence the title of the company’s newest production.

In the Sierra foothills are a cluster of quaint towns full of Gold Rush history.  Two of these, East Sonora and Columbia, house the venues that make up Sierra Repertory Theatre (Sierra Rep).  Main stage shows, cabarets, and youth workshops can be seen in the original East Sonora Theatre and in the Historic Fallon House Theatre in Columbia State Historic Park.  Lucky for us, they are back to making history beginning in September with their new, in-person season!  Broadway World spoke with Jerry Lee, Associate Artistic Director (and Shrek himself!), about what we can look forward to at Sierra Rep.

South Street Seaport Museum has announced its August schedule, including free tours of the historic tall ship Wavertree and the 1908 lightship Ambrose, free demonstrations by Bowne & Co. letterpress printers, an outdoor exhibition on Pier 16, cruises aboard the 1930 tugboat W.O. Decker, and more.

The National Opera Association launches two new fellowship programs to support graduate study in vocal performance and opera composition. Thanks to a generous endowment established by the prominent American composer, Dominick Argento (1927-2019), and his wife, the soprano, Carolyn Bailey Argento (1930-2006), the fellowships will provide full tuition and living expenses for graduate study for two recipients - one in vocal performance and the other in composition, up to $50,000 per year each. 

South Street Seaport Museum has announced FREE tours of the 1908 lightship Ambrose every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from August 6, 2021 through October 10, 2021. The ship will run four tours each day, departing at 11:30am, 2:30pm, 3:30pm and 4:00pm from Pier 16.

South Street Seaport Museum has announced public cruises aboard the 1930 tugboat W.O. Decker every Saturday from July 31, 2021 through August 21, 2021. The ship will run three tours each Saturday, departing at 1:15pm, 2:45pm, and 4:15pm.

The first annual Seacoast Summer Reading Sessions comes to The Rochester Opera House's Historic Theater in Rochester, NH with satellite locations for writing workshops at  The Mark Baum Estate and an added reading and workshop at Wells Reserve at Laudholm.

Kim Loo Gets a Redo, opening tonight as part of New Ohio Theatre's 28th annual Obie Award-winning ICE Factory Festival, is an original work highlighting the history and impact of the Kim Loo Sisters, the first Asian American act on Broadway.

In the video, Gallup/Na'nízhoozhí, Anthony Roth Costanzo and Davone Tines sing music by Matthew Aucoin written to poetry by Jake Skeets. Lowe and Skeets are both Navajo artists. Skeets, who grew up in Gallup, gives his hometown a leading role in his poetry. Lowe's film is an unflinching yet tender portrait of the city in 2021.

Friday night he unveiled another in his series of RICKY RITZEL'S BROADWAY concerts at Don't Tell Mama. He generously gives you not one, but three musicals from the past. This month's edition of RICKY RITZEL'S BROADWAY celebrates Bright Star, The New Moon, and Dames at Sea.

And now for something ethereal, funny and more than a little trippy. On June 26, The Marsh presents 'Astronautica,' a musical drawn from the words of women who have traveled through outer space, to its digital platform, MarshStream.
