The wife of the late U.S. Navy SEAL 'American Sniper' Chris Kyle and author, Taya Kyle, entrepreneur and businessman of ABC's 'Shark Tank,' Kevin O'Leary and 2014 Paralympic snowboarding bronze medalist and motivational speaker, Amy Purdy, will be judges on the '2016 Miss America Competition.'

Site-Specific Play to Reunite L.A. Architects Neutra & Schindler, 9/13-10/4

True story: in 1953, iconic L.A. architects Richard Neutra and Rudolph Schindler, onetime friends and business partners who had been bitterly estranged for 23 years, found themselves, by a vagary of fate, occupying the same hospital room in Cedars of Lebanon Hospital. Ensemble Studio Theatre/LA presents a site-specific production in which playwright/director Tom Lazarus imagines what might have transpired during that reunion. Ray Xifo and John Nielsen star as Neutra and Schindler, with Heather Robinson in the role of Nurse Rothstein. The world premiere of The Princes of Kings Road opens on Sept 12 for a four-week run at the architecturally significant Neutra Institute and Museum of Silverlake.

Artistic Director David Agler today announced the cast for the main evening operas in the forthcoming Wexford Festival, opening Wednesday, 21 October. A mixture of new and familiar voices makes up the 64-member company, comprising 20 principal roles, 32 chorus-members and 10 dancers. They hail from several different countries, including Ireland, Britain, South Africa, Canada, US, France, Italy, Australia and Malta. When including the creative teams, production team, orchestra and crew, the full company of this year's Festival is likely to be in excess of 200.

Last March, the West Coast premiere of the Yiddish Purim musical Di Megileh of Itzik Manger enjoyed a huge success, with four standing-room-only performances at the Jewish Community Center of the East Bay. In celebration of the 2015 Purim season, the New Yiddish Theater, in conjunction with the 30th Jewish Music Festival, takes pride in presenting a reprise with the same all-star lead performers and an updated choral arrangement. Performances will be given at 8 pm on February 26 & 28, March 1 & 3, with a matinee on Monday, March 2 at 1:30 pm. As before, all of the spoken and sung Yiddish will be super-titled in English.

Theatrical Outfit begins its Season of Compassion with the dramatic comedy The Savannah Disputation, written by Georgia-born playwright Evan Smith and, he says, inspired by today's politics and his Savannah grandmother. The show will run August 21 - September 7, 2014. The show will feature Alex Bond, Lane Carlock, Shannon Eubanks and Mark Kincaid. This is the 38th season for Theatrical Outfit, the second-oldest professional theater company in Atlanta, and the home of stories that stir the soul.
