After celebrating its 25th Anniversary in residence at Theater Wit—a season that featured the world premiere, acclaimed hit Relentless, which went on to an extended run at Goodman Theatre—the company will return to its longtime home in Chicago’s Lakeview East neighborhood, located at 615 W. Wellington Avenue, for three productions.

The Third Avenue Playhouse, located in historic downtown Sturgeon Bay, announces its lineup of six plays for the upcoming 2020 season. The plays include an early career work from playwright David Mamet, a 1964 musical by the legendary composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim, a multi-award winning classic about the unlikely friendship between an elderly lady and her driver, the story of an unconventional advice columnist, and a farcical take on the making of Gone With The Wind.

They were afraid that the Ferris Wheels, Roller Coasters, and Tilt-a-Whirls that were hastily assembled in rundown shopping center parking lots weren't safe, and that if I was to climb into one of the rides, I could become the victim of a terrible tragedy. Having watched the two hour premiere of AMERICAN HORROR STORY: FREAK SHOW, I now think that my parents significantly underestimated just how dangerous those wayfaring fairs actually were.

The producers of WEST SIDE STORY have confirmed full casting for the new Broadway production.

The Rhode Island press is reporting that letters sent out to Stadium Theatre Performing Arts Center subscribers note that Minnelli will premiere her new show at the Stadium before taking it to Broadway's Palace Theatre in December.

It was announced today that the upcoming previously announced revival of West Side Story will begin previews on February 23, 2009 with an official opening slated for March 19, 2009.

Warner Home Video announces that five classic MGM musicals have been re-mastered for an April 25 release, marking their debut to DVD. The box set 'Classic Musicals From The Dream Factory' will contain 'It's Always Fair Weather,' 'Summer Stock,' 'Three Little Words,' 'Till The Clouds Roll By,' and 'Ziegfeld Follies.' In addition, the titles will also be sold individually.
