Designer Sarah Stallmann will use William Shakespeare's 38-play canon to inspire some original clothing ensembles at "Reclamation: Contemporary Fashion and the Canon," SHAKE 38's kick-off event, set for 5 to 7 p.m., on Wed., April 18, at the St. Louis Fashion Fund Incubator (1533 Washington Ave.). The event marks the beginning of the ninth annual five-day community-based marathon of the Bard's work, performed in just about every location imaginable across the St. Louis metro area.

Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC) will host Druid, Ireland's most celebrated theatre company, and their critically acclaimed production of Waiting for Godot. Directed by Tony Award-winner Garry Hynes, Druid's production of Samuel Beckett's absurd, anarchic masterpiece will make its regional premiere at the Lansburgh Theatre (450 7th Street, NW) from April 17 through May 20, 2018 before it travels on to Chicago.

Shakespeare's Globe announces full casting for its 2018 tour, directed by Brendan O'Hea. From 7 May, a company of eight actors will embark on a national and international tour of Twelfth Night, The Taming of the Shrew and The Merchant of Venice, beginning and ending at The Globe. In the spirit of Shakespearean tradition, the company will allow the audience to decide which of the three plays they would like to see, with a voting mechanism to be determined over the course of rehearsals.

Stage Entertainment has confirmed that due to exceptional public demand over 100,000 new tickets will go on sale today (Friday 26 January 2018) at 12noon GMT for TINA, a new musical based on the life of legendary artist Tina Turner. Officially opening at the Aldwych Theatre on 17 April 2018, with previews beginning on 21 March 2018, the show is now booking to 20 October 2018.

TINA, a new musical based on the life of legendary artist Tina Turner, has made a boom at the box office according to The Daily Mail's Baz Bamigboye. The columnist reported this evening that due to skyrocketing sales at the box office, the musical has released an additional 100,000 tickets for the show. The newly released tickets will extend the run of the show, now booking through October 2018.

The Brown/Trinity Rep MFA Program presents its December thesis show, Neva, directed by Kate Bergstrom (Brown/Trinity Rep MFA '18). Written by Guillermo Calder n, and translated into English by Andrea Thome, the play follows the rehearsal of three actors in 1905 St. Petersburg, who humorously dance around the topics of love and revolution while a labor riot rages outside.
