Pioneer Theatre Company presents Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley, a charming sequel to Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. The production runs from November 30 through December 15, 2018.

Barrington Stage Company (BSC), the award-winning theatre in Downtown Pittsfield, MA, under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd, will host its annual New York City Benefit, BSC/NYC, on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, to honor director and BSC Associate Artist John Rando with the William Finn Award for Innovation and Excellence in Musical Theatre. This one-night only cabaret will take place at the Friars Club (57 East 55th Street).

Emmy winner and Grammy, Tony, and Drama Desk-nominated arranger and composer, music producer/director, and singer/songwriter Rob Mathes returns to the Performing Arts Center, Purchase College, on Friday, December 14, and Saturday, December 15, at 8:00 p.m., and the Schimmel Center, Sunday, December 16, at 4:00 p.m., for the annual Rob Mathes Holiday Concert. Rob is celebrating 25 years of performing his annual holiday concert and is honored to be joined this year by special guests Sting, Vanessa Williams and saxophonist David Sanborn, who will each perform a couple holiday-themed songs with Rob and the band.

The Tank in association with Theater of the Apes will present the 10th anniversary production of the dark holiday comedy, The Truth About Santa, written by Greg Kotis (Winner of 2002 Tony Award, 2001 Drama Desk Award, and 2001 Obie Award for Urinetown), directed by Ilana Becker (Lincoln Center Theater Directors Lab; Playwrights Horizons Robert Moss Directing Fellow) at The Tank (312 West 36th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues), December 5-20.

The WYO Theater invites you to celebrate Scott Joplin on Thursday, November 29 at 7:30pm with Richard Dowling.  Great Scott! features the beloved Scott Joplin ragtime piano works used in the 1973 Academy-Award-winning movie The Sting, including The Entertainer plus many other dazzling, rarely-heard Joplin compositions.  During his short lifetime (ca. 1868-1917) Scott Joplin was hailed as "The King of Ragtime Writers."  

The Wombats have today released an extended version of their UK Top 3 album Beautiful People Will Ruin Your Life, featuring three extra bonus tracks - latest single 'Bee-Sting', an acoustic version of one of the album's standout songs 'Lethal Combination', and brand new track 'Oceans'. 'Bee-Sting' will also be released on the same day as a limited edition 7”,  with 'Oceans' on the B-Side.

Tickets for the Canadian premiere of Sting's acclaimed musical The Last Ship will go on public sale Monday November 12. Presented by David Mirvish and produced by Karl Sydow and Kathryn Schenker, the limited six-week engagement runs February 9 through March 24, 2019 at Toronto's Princess of Wales Theatre.

Saturday Nov 17 at 8pm, marks the much-anticipated return of world-renowned Cuban-Canadian harmonica master Carlos del Junco to the River Run Centre's intimate Co-operator's Hall stage where he celebrates the release of his new CD "Hang On". Del Junco fashions sound the way Michelangelo sculpted his David: with daring and sensuality (Carlos actually graduated from Ontario College of Arts in his mid twenties with honours majoring in sculpture)! Considered one of the world's greatest harmonica players, he is a pioneer of the 'overblow' technique, allowing him to play a diatonic harmonica chromatically. The result is stunning: an eclectic blend of soundscapes from the sublime to quirky that often conjure different instrument tonalities, from the sax, clarinet, a sometimes electric guitar tonality, to the violin and even bagpipes!

Set to debut the second week of February 2019, the acclaimed production boasting an incomparable cast of music legends, will bring its 35-year continuously operating musical tribute spectacular to the Legends in Concert Theater as its 7 p.m. headlining show.

Vincente Amigo, the "technically stunning and emotionally free-flowing" (The Seattle Times) Flamenco guitarist will give a rare Southern California performance today, October 17 at the Younes and Soraya Nazarian Center for the Performing Arts (The Soraya).
