Atlanta's nationally acclaimed Alliance Theatre and Jennings Hertz Artistic Director Susan V. Booth are pleased to announce the productions of the Theater's 51st season.  Since opening in 1968 the Alliance has been dedicated to expanding hearts and minds on stage and off with diverse programming for all ages.  The 2019/20 season marks the Alliance's first full season back in its transformed performance space, the newly opened Coca-Cola Stage.

The Music Business Association (Music Biz) today announces this year's inductees for its Music Business Hall of Fame, including the late Sir George Martin, who will be inducted by his son Giles Martin. Resonance Records discovery Polly Gibbons, a British-born star on the rise, has a sound and style that give off sparks. The Maggie Allesee Department of Theatre and Dance, a program within the College of Fine, Performing and Communication Arts at Wayne State University, is thrilled to honor Michigan native and Tony Award-winning producer of 'Hamilton,' Jeffrey Seller, with the 2019 Apple Award on Wednesday, March 27 at the Fisher Theatre. A private, pre-show reception with Mr. Seller will be held at the Fisher Theatre before guests attend 'Hamilton' that evening at 8 p.m.

Composer Christopher James's upcoming album Grace from Persistence, his third as a solo artist, represents a synthesis of musical genres from jazz and pop to classical and film music, informed not only by his early experiences scoring for film and television, but also by his many years working with leading artists and on major soundtracks as an executive and producer for Universal Music Group. Mr. James's music takes inspiration from the visual and the dramatic, and two of the ten tracks on this recording (“Grace from Persistence” and “Mother Russia”) feature accompanying video.

Chamber-pop group Birdsong At Morning recently released their exquisite two-disc/Blu-ray package Signs and Wonders, a carefully crafted and richly textured work recorded in high-resolution surround sound to highlight the masterful audio quality of the music.  The album features a lush 20-piece string orchestra and many well-known Boston-area musicians.   Today, Elmore Magazine is premiering the title track “Signs and Wonders” to celebrate spring – watch it HERE.

The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) andCBC took over Budweiser Gardens this evening for Canada's biggest awards night in music. The awards, hosted by Sarah McLachlan, were broadcast live on CBC, CBC Radio One, CBC Music, the free CBC Gem streaming service, and globally at cbcmusic.ca/junos. The highly anticipated event opened with London's own Loud Luxury who took the stage with an electrifying performance alongside the Western University Marching Band for their London homecoming.

Producers Suzanne Gilad & Larry Rogowsky announced today that the hit musical comedy THE OTHER JOSH COHEN will end its extended Off-Broadway run at the Westside Theatre on April 7, 2019. A National Tour will launch in 2020, cities and dates will be announced at a later date.

R&B/soul singer-songwriter Allen Stone has released a new single and accompanying lyric video today for his song 'Naturally' via ATO Records. Written with the impending birth of his first child in mind and galvanized by his overwhelming love for his new wife, Stone explains, 'The inspiration behind releasing this song comes from having my first child. In this journey that is about to commence we are choosing not to find out the sex of the child until the day of. Whichever bits this kiddo comes out with, we want he or she to arrive into a world where women are celebrated. Judged not by their physical attributes but rather the fiber of their traits. Pittsburgh CLO will launch its second New Musicals Weekend, a project of the Next Generation Campaign's New Small Musicals Initiative. New Musicals Weekend, the mini version of the SPARK festival, takes the core goals of SPARK and puts them into action over just a few days. Similar to SPARK, New Musicals Weekend aims to develop new musicals for the CLO Cabaret by supporting writing teams with financial and creative resources and by building relationships with local and national artists.

CMT announced today GRAMMY-winning group Boyz II Men will join multi-PLATINUM selling artist Brett Young for the next installment of 'CMT Crossroads.' The one-hour show premieres Wednesday, March 27 at 10pm ET/PT and features the artists collaborating on each other's hits. The news comes on the heels of strong growth as CMT recently notched eight consecutive quarters of year-over-year ratings and share growth in Prime among Adults 18-49.
