Capital Stage brings you its 14th Season of professional thought provoking theatre.

Nancy Manocherian's the cell (Artistic Director, Kira Simring), who scored a hit last season with the World Premiere musical Bastard Jones, will present the New York Premiere of THE EVOLUTION OF MANN, a musical featuring music & lyrics by Drama Desk nominee Douglas J. Cohen (Children's Letters to God, The Opposite of Sex) and book & lyrics by Dan Elish (13: The Musical) based on his novel, Nine Wives. Directed by Joe Barros (Bastard Jones), the production will star Max Crumm (Grease, Disaster!) in the title role. Previews begin September 23 at the cell with opening slated for Thursday, October 4.

Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park is now selling single tickets for all of the 12 season's productions, including the highly anticipated world premiere of CINCINNATI KING, a musical about Cincinnati's historic King Records, and the Tony Award-winning Broadway hit from the creator of Hamilton, IN THE HEIGHTS. The season will open with a thrilling production of Stephen King's MISERY on Sept. 1.

Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park will begin selling single tickets for the 2018-2019 season on Monday, July 16. Single tickets will be available for all of 12 the season's productions, including the highly anticipated world premiere of CINCINNATI KING, a musical about Cincinnati's historic King Records, and the Tony Award-winning Broadway hit from the creator of Hamilton, IN THE HEIGHTS.

MadLab's world premiere production of Lost in Time by Tony Pasqualini will take place Fridays and Saturdays, Aug. 10 - 25, 2017, with a special preview performance on Thursday, Aug. 9, at MadLab, 227 N. 3rd St., in Columbus. Admission is $18 for the general public, $15 for students and seniors and $13 for MadLab members. Tickets are available online at www.madlab.net.

Corkscrew Theater Festival presents delicacy of a puffin heart, written by Stefani Kuo and directed by Theo Maltz. Running July 25-August 5, delicacy of a puffin heart traces the stories of two pairs of immigrant/first generation women living in the same San Francisco apartment, twenty years apart: in the 1990s, a lesbian couple hoping to have a child, and in the present, their adult daughter living with her best friend. Both pairs of women struggle to maintain their intimate connection while facing mental and physical illness. Performed by Dominique Brillon, Diane Chen, Cleo Gray, Drita Kabashi, and O'mer Koren, delicacy of a puffin heart is the fourth production in the second annual season of Corkscrew Theater Festival, a new summer theater festival that provides early-career artists with a high level of production support.

Steppenwolf Theatre Company is pleased to announce the complete casting and directors for the first four shows of its 2018/19 season: Downstate by Pulitzer Prize-winning ensemble member Bruce Norris; Familiar by Danai Gurira; La Ruta by Isaac Gomez; and A Doll's House, Part 2 by Lucas Hnath. Directors Danya Taymor (Familiar) and Robin Witt (A Doll's House, Part 2) are added to the 2018/19 director lineup. Now in rehearsals, Steppenwolf Theatre Company is thrilled to present Guards at the Taj, a stunning tale about the search for beauty in desperate circumstances, written by acclaimed playwright Rajiv Joseph (Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo). As previously announced, ensemble member Amy Morton directs this Chicago premiere, featuring the original cast members, Omar Metwally (Humayun) and Arian Moayed (Babur), who were last seen on Steppenwolf's stage together in Homebody/Kabul. Morton directed the critically acclaimed Off-Broadway world premiere, which won the 2016 Obie Award for Best New American Play.

There's something humorous brewing in Lawrenceville! David Lindsay-Abaire's laugh-out-loud comedy, Ripcord is set to round out Aurora Theatre's 2017-2018 season, May 10-June 3, 2018. Audiences will follow the territory battle between Abby and Marilyn, roommates at a senior living facility with clashing personalities, and the hilarity that ensues when the tumultuous pair pushes the envelope to win a seemingly harmless wager.
