DALLAS, TX(Marketwired - Oct 2, 2015) - Following a several-month remastering of its eight floors of interiors, The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas has officially unveiled new guest rooms, corridors, Club Lounge space and Lobby areas. The transformation showcases even more contemporary features than in prior years, with new finishes inspired not only by current art and design but also by the dazzling skies, landscapes and perspectives of north Texas.

Roundabout Theatre Company presents the Off-Broadway premiere production of Pulitzer Prize finalist Stephen Karam's THE HUMANS, directed by Tony Award winner Joe Mantello, as part of the 50th Anniversary Season.

Mark Cortale's acclaimed Broadway @ The Nourse concert series returns to San Francisco this season with stars Darren Criss and Sutton Foster.  Hosted by Sirius XM Radio Star Seth Rudetsky whom the New York Times dubbed "The Mayor of Broadway," the popular series will return for the 2015/16 season at The Nourse Theater with two concerts. First up will be the red-hot star of TV's "Glee" and Broadway's "Hedwig and the Angry Inch," Darren Criss on October 30, followed by two-time Tony Award winner Sutton Foster on January 16. 

Hershey Felder as Irving Berlin will now begin performances on Friday October 30th, 2015 in Felder's Chicago theatrical home, the Royal George Theatre , 1641 N. Halsted Street, Chicago. Having broken all box office records in its World Premiere at Los Angeles' Geffen Playhouse, Hershey Felder as Irving Berlin makes its Midwest Premiere in a strictly limited pre-NYC and continuing National Tour engagement. The British import I FOUND MY HORN was originally scheduled for this presentation slot.  However, due to scheduling issues across the pond, I FOUND MY HORN will now appear in the spring slot at the Royal George Theatre.

Quintessential American songwriter Irving Berlin left an indelible mark on the classic American songbook with hits like 'White Christmas,' 'Puttin' on the Ritz,' 'There's No Business Like Show Business' and, of course, 'God Bless America.' Arizona Theatre Company brings Berlin's story to vibrant, toe-tapping life in Hershey Felder as Irving Berlin, Oct. 8-25 at the Herberger Theater Center, 222 E. Monroe in Phoenix.

Some of Broadway's biggest names will come to Philadelphia's Kimmel Center this season in a series produced by Mark Cortale and hosted by the man The New York Times called the 'Mayor of Broadway,' Sirius XM star Seth Rudetsky.  First up will be Audra McDonald - the historic 6-time Tony-winner and star of Broadway's "Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill," "Porgy and Bess," "Ragtime," "Master Class" and TV's "Private Practice" -  for one show only on Wednesday, October 7 at 8:00 PM.

Fresh off its world-premiere run in Minneapolis, where Star Tribune declared "Akeelah and the Bee triumphs," Children's Theatre Company's new production about an 11-year-old spelling prodigy comes to Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater. The show is adapted for the stage by veteran playwright Cheryl L. West (Arena's Pullman Porter Blues, Jar the Floor), who partners with celebrated director Charles Randolph-Wright (director of Broadway's Motown and an inaugural resident playwright with Arena Stage, where he premiered his play Love in Afghanistan). Akeelah and the Bee runs November 13-December 27, 2015 in the Kreeger Theater.

The Old Globe opens its 2015-2016 Season with IN YOUR ARMS, a World Premiere dance-theatre musical featuring direction and choreography by Tony Award winner Christopher Gattelli (Newsies, Godspell, Lincoln Center Theater's The King and I and South Pacific) and original music by Tony Award winner Stephen Flaherty (Ragtime, Once on This Island; two-time Oscar nominee for Anastasia). The production begins tonight, September 16, with an opening slated for September 24, and runs through October 25, 2015.

The Humans begins preview performances Off-Broadway on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 and opens officially on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at the Laura Pels Theatre in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre (111 West 46th Street). This is a limited engagement through Sunday, December 27, 2015.

Nicholas Meyer's The Seven-Per-Cent Solution, in a world premiere adaptation by City Lit Artistic Director Terry McCabe and directed by Warner Crocker, will open City Lit Theater's thirty-sixth season, McCabe announced today.

Arnold Scaasi, Canadian fashion designer who created ensembles for the rich and famous, died yesterday, August 4, 2015. He was 85. Scaasi crafted one of his most recognized, and perhaps infamous, outfits for stage and screen star Barbra Streisand. She wore it to the 1969 Academy Awards, where she won the Oscar for her performance in the film FUNNY GIRL. We remember the iconic fashion designer below:
