Philadelphia, PA (April 12, 2016) – Pennsylvania Ballet and Artistic Director Angel Corella will take audiences on a classical yet modern journey with works by three choreographers in A Program of Firsts. George Balanchine's Serenade, Liam Scarlett's Asphodel Meadows, and a much anticipated World Premiere from Pennsylvania Ballet's Choreographer in Residence Matthew Neenan, May 12-15 at The Academy of Music, sponsored by Bank of America.

Guthrie Theater to Use $1 Million Mellon Foundation Grant for Groundbreaking Initiative

The Guthrie Theater today announced it has been awarded a $1 million grant from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation to underwrite a groundbreaking initiative for the theater's entire ninth floor, home to the 200-seat Dowling Studio, the Citizens of Minnesota Overlook - a signature feature of the lobby known as the 'amber box' - and a unique retractable wall that unifies the performance space with its lobby.

For over 50 years, she pushed the limits of choreographic movement, changing modern dance forever. At 79, Trisha Brown has choreographed her last dances. In celebration of her life's work, Trisha Brown Dance Company returns to the choreographer's home state to perform the final performances of her works for the proscenium stage as part of a retrospective presented by University of Washington's World Series at Meany Hall.

American Repertory Ballet, New Jersey's preeminent classical and contemporary ballet company, will perform throughout New Jersey - in Princeton, New Brunswick, Lawrenceville, Branchburg, Rahway, Manasquan, South Orange, and Trenton - and at the Joyce Theater in New York City from September 2015 through April 2016.
