The Rat Pack - Live from Las Vegas 2012

FirstWorks, a Providence-based nonprofit dedicated to connecting art with audiences, will present Boston-based street dance pioneers The Wondertwins in an entertaining night of dance moves reflecting old-school hip-hop, street style, Broadway and more.

As the Met Opera remains dark through the end of the year, opera fans can still experience thrilling opera, special interviews, and behind-the-scenes features with The Met Opera Summer Encore in HD broadcasts at The Ridgefield Playhouse - all in a socially distanced and safe environment.

Audiences can once again enjoy encore broadcasts of the Metropolitan Opera productions this summer, when The Ridgefield Playhouse brings classic works to the silver screen.

The Las Vegas based production, Broadway at its Best, starring the highly-acclaimed musical group, 'The Phat Pack' will make its Florida debut in the Bradenton Auditorium this weekend, August 2nd and 3rd. The Broadway-style, musical variety group was given the 'Best of Las Vegas 2013 Award' for Best All Around Performers by the Las Vegas Review Journal.

The Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza Foundation presents THE LAUGH PACK in the Scherr Forum Theatre at 8:30 pm on Friday, November 9, 2012. This is the second Laugh Pack show in the Friday Nite Funnies Series, which will also continue into 2013.

Feinstein's at Loews Regency will continue its Summer 2012 season with the return of internationally acclaimed entertainer, Deana Martin, tonight, August 14-August 18.

So many cabaret shows, so little time . . . to write reviews that is. During his almost two years as a cabaret reviewer, BroadwayWorld.com critic Stephen Hanks managed to do a pretty good job of writing critiques during a show's run or soon after the run ended. But this summer he just couldn't keep up. Finally, here are observations on 10 performances over the past two months.

The Garibaldi-Meucci Museum presents an evening of cabaret tonight, July 13, at 7:30 p.m. at Lorenzo's Restaurant in the Hilton Garden Inn on Staten Island. The show features Louis Prima, Jr., and The Witnesses with Sarah Spiegel.

Cabaret show producer Joseph Macchia (who is also a host at the Metropolitan Room) will be staging a second presentation of "Boys Night Out: The Music of the Rat Pack" at the Met Room on August 6 (9:30 pm), which will give him a month to work out the kinks after the show's somewhat shaky opening at the Met Room on June 18.
