The Actors’ Gang is announcing its full 2025/2026 which features seven original plays, two twentieth century theatrical classics, and Late Night Fridays that will present improvised commedia dell’ arte, live music and film screenings.

Theatre is no stranger to fictional renderings of famous get-togethers. There’s One Night in Miami, where Cassius Clay (later Muhammad Ali), Malcolm X, Sam Cooke and Jim Brown celebrate at Hampton House Hotel in 1964 ­– the night Clay became world heavyweight champion. Malcolm X features again in The Meeting, alongside Martin Luther King. And in Copenhagen, the previous play on at Theatre Royal Bath, Nobel-winning physicists Dane Niels Bohr and Werner Heisenberg have a clandestine encounter.

The highly acclaimed Chichester Festival Theatre revival of GUYS AND DOLLS, begins tonight, December 10, at the Savoy Theatre in the West End.

President Barack Obama awarded eighteen recipients with the 2014 Presidential Medal of Freedom today, November 24, at the White House in Washington, D.C. Legendary composer/lyricist Stephen Sondheim, who was set to be the nineteenth honoree, could not attend the event and will receive the award next year instead.

The White House announced that President Obama selected Mr. Alvin Ailey to be a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom this year. This honor is being given posthumously to acknowledge Mr. Ailey's contributions and commitment to Civil Rights and dance in America.

This book has been written to satisfy the needs of a one-semester introductory course in linear or matrix algebra. Earlier today in Italy, CERN physicists presented the first major update to data on the Higgs Boson since initial evidence of 'The God Particle' was originally reported on July 4, 2012. The Higgs Boson is a theoretical elementary particle believed to supply mass to other particles.

Stephen Hawking and his fellow physicists may not have yet figured out the formula for traveling through the time-space continuum, but apparently the Metropolitan Room discovered the secret. Last Friday night (October 26), I walked through the curtain into the main performance space and entered a time tunnel that took me from the 21st century into the 1960s and '70s. Two lovely, rising young stars of cabaret, Lauren Fox and Jennifer Sheehan (photo left), had obviously hurtled though that same time warp because in two separate shows on the same evening, they performed songs that had been written and recorded 15 to 25 years before they were born. In the process they transported this particular Baby Boomer joyously back to his youth and to the days of cultural upheaval, generation gaps, peace, love, war, and some of the best pop/rock music ever written.
