Yale Repertory Theatre, celebrating 50 years of daring artists, bold choices, and adventurous audiences, presents the world premiere of Scenes from Court Life, or the whipping boy and his prince by Sarah Ruhl, directed by Mark Wing-Davey, tonight, September 30, through October 22 at Yale University Theatre (222 York Street). Opening Night is Thursday, October 6.

David Mirvish has announced the 17 shows in the 2016 - 2017 Mirvish Theatre Season.  There will be seven shows in the Mainstage Subscription Series, three in the Off-Mirvish Subscription Series, and seven bonus shows not on subscription.

There's no getting around it: Broadway is expensive. For a broke soon-to-be college student like myself, the prospect of scrounging up enough dollar bills to purchase a ticket to Something Rotten is a daunting one. So what are those of us without the means to experience professional theatre to do? In some cases, all we have to do is switch on the television or take a trip to the movie theater to see a musical come to life.

The 70th Annual Tony Awards are this Sunday June 12th at 8/9c hosted by James Corden. It's the biggest award show of the Broadway season and it closes out a long awards season for Broadway and Off-Broadway musicals and plays. We can't help but wonder what chances this year's Best Musical and Best Play nominees have of taking home the ultimate prize.

59E59 Theaters will welcome Dillie Keane (from Fascinating Aida) back to Brits Off Broadway with the US premiere of HELLO DILLIE, written by Ms. Keane and Adele Anderson, and directed by Simon Green and featuring Michael Roulston on piano. Earlier this month, Boston Conservatory and New York City voice teacher James Javore passed away following a battle with prostate cancer. In celebration of his life, a group of alumni, past students, and colleagues will host an open memorial service this Saturday, May 7, at The Church of Latter Day Saints at 66th and Columbus at 2:00PM.

As BroadwayWorld reported last week, after winning big at this year's GRAMMYs, the cast recording for Broadway's HAMILTON has reached a another huge milestone -- going gold.

California Musical Theatre announced the 2016-17 Broadway Sacramento season at the Community Center Theater, featuring four shows not previously presented in the series, one of which has been produced in the round at Music Circus a number of times but never before part of Broadway Sacramento.

Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer and Managing Director Maggie Boland announce the full lineup for Signature Theatre's 2016/17 season, including the previously announced production of Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey's FREAKY FRIDAY.

Tonight, the BBC has announced that the star will also reprise his television role of 'Frank Spencer', opposite Michele Dotrice for a one-off TV special on March 18th. Dotrice was also recently seen on the stage in THE LADYKILLERS.

Michael Crawford, the legendary star of stage and screen will return to the London Stage in a new musical, based on the famed novel THE GO-BETWEEN. According to Baz Bamigboye of the UK Daily Mail, the production will begin performances on May 27th at the Apollo Theatre in London's West End.
