On February 10, Curious George premieres its eighth season on PBS KIDS with a special appearance by renowned entertainer Carol Burnett, winner of the 16th annual Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. This season's all-new episodes continue to focus on teaching preschoolers about science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) concepts, with a special spotlight on engineering.

The larger-than-life production features over 200 dancers, the mighty PNB Orchestra playing Tchaikovsky's iconic score, gigantic moving sets, and a snowfall at every performance. Today, October 28, PBS KIDS premieres the first ever CURIOUS GEORGE Halloween special - CURIOUS GEORGE: A Halloween Boo Fest. The centerpiece of PBS KIDS' Halloween programming lineup this October, this one-hour special celebrates curiosity, friendship and trying new things, all while providing safe and family-friendly holiday entertainment. CURIOUS GEORGE: A Halloween Boo Fest features three original songs, including 'It's Halloween Today,' sung by Pat Monahan, the lead singer of Train. As part of this multiplatform event, CURIOUS GEORGE will also feature a new game for web and mobile and new streaming video content this October.

Abingdon Theatre Company launches its 21st Season with FIX ME, JESUS by Helen Sneed, directed by Sam Pinkleton, with previews set to begin Friday, November 1, prior to an official press opening November 10 in Abingdon Theatre Arts Complex's Dorothy Streslin Theatre (312 West 36th Street). Performances run through Sunday, November 24.

On October 28, PBS KIDS will premiere the first ever CURIOUS GEORGE Halloween special – CURIOUS GEORGE: A Halloween Boo Fest.

Staircase Equity Collective presents the British Columbia premiere ofCocktails at Pam's -a real time cocktail party gone horribly wrong. Pam was always the perfect hostess -- until the night there were more floral arrangements than suitable vases, the divorcee didn't want her canape and the guests formed charade teams and began to have cheap, competitive fun. Cocktails at Pam's is directed by Stephen Heatley, designed by Jessie-Award winning Lauchlin Johnston and Christina Dao and boasts some of Vancouver's finest talent, including: Anousha Alamian, Sebastien Archibald, Yoshie Bancroft, Georgia Beaty, Daniel Deorksen, Brent Hirose, Stefania Indelicato, Shauna Johannesen, Liz Kirkland, Maryanne Renzetti, and Joanna Williams. Russia's profound and far-reaching impact on 20th-century culture will be explored at the 2013 annual Bard SummerScape festival, which once again offers an extraordinary summer of music, opera, theater, dance, film, and cabaret, keyed to the theme of the 24th annual Bard Music Festival, Stravinsky and His World. Presented in the striking Richard B. Fisher Center for the Performing Arts and other venues on Bard College's bucolic Hudson River campus, the seven-week festival opens on July 6 with the first of two performances of A Rite (2013) by the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company and SITI Company, and closes on August 18 with a party in Bard's beloved Spiegeltent, which returns for the full seven weeks. Complementing the Bard Music Festival's exploration of “Stravinsky and His World,” some of the great Russian-born composer's most captivating compatriots provide key SummerScape highlights. These include the first fully-staged American production of Sergey Taneyev's opera Oresteia; the world premiere of an original stage adaptation of Mikhail Bulgakov's seminal novel The Master and Margarita; and a film festival titled “Between Traditions: Stravinsky's Legacy and Russian Emigré Cinema.” Together, SummerScape's offerings will continue Bard's yearlong tenth-anniversary celebrations for the Frank Gehry-designed Fisher Center, which commence with a month of special performances in April.

The play, returning to BAAD!'s stage for the ninth exciting year, interweaves two holiday classics, The Nutcracker and A Christmas Carol, and creates a queer, Latino play about a gay couple who go on a psychedelic trip through their lives one Christmas Eve. The play will be presented tonight, November 30, December 1, 6, 7, 8, 14 and 15 at 8pm at BAAD!, 841 Barretto Street in the Hunts Point section of the South Bronx.
