TheatreWorks, the nationally acclaimed theatre of Silicon Valley, has announced the appointment of Giovanna Sardelli to the position of Director of New Works. Sardelli brings stellar national directing credits and close ties with many of today's hottest rising playwrights to the company, which has established itself as a leader in cultivating and producing new works. No stranger to TheatreWorks, Sardelli helmed the company's 2013 production of Somewhere by rising star Matthew Lopez, as well as the TheatreWorks' 2011World Premiere of Pulitzer Prize-nominee Rajiv Joseph's The North Pool, named by the San Francisco Chronicle as one of that year's ten best productions in the Bay Area.

Pulitzer Prize nominee Rajiv Joseph's (Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo - NEA Award BEST PLAY) Gruesome Playground Injuries launches the season for multi-award winning Rogue Machine Theatre (BEST PRODUCTION award winner 2013, 2011 and 2010 - Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle, Ovation). The schedule for this summer's Lincoln Center Out of Doors festival, which runs from July 20 to August 10, was announced today by Bill Bragin, Lincoln Center's Director of Public Programming. Hakkasan Group announced today the acquisition of Las Vegas-based nightlife and entertainment company, Angel Management Group (AMG). AMG manages a number of significant hospitality venues, including Hakkasan's own Nightclub at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino, together with PURE Nightclub at Caesars Palace, WET REPUBLIC Ultra Pool at MGM Grand, Social House restaurant inside The Shops at Crystals, HQ Beach Club, and HQ Nightclub at Revel in Atlantic City. The acquisition will provide Hakkasan Group with significant day-to-day operational capability and infrastructure, which will enable it to further expand its brand and hospitality operations in North America.
