Broadway producer and publicist David Rothenberg will perform his autobiographical one-person show NAMEDROPPING at Castle Gardens in NYC, with proceeds benefiting The Fortune Society.

Richard Chamberlain, renowned for his roles in 'The Thorn Birds' and 'Shogun,' has died at 90. Chamberlain, celebrated for his versatility in film, theater, and television, passed away on March 29th, 2025, in Waimanalo, HI, following a stroke. His career spanned decades, earning him numerous accolades, including Golden Globes for his performances.

The Tennessee Williams Theatre Company (TWTC) started its 2023 season with the Tennessee Williams classic, NIGHT OF THE IGUANA, currently running at The Lower Depths Theatre at Loyola University in New Orleans through March 26.

In Tahiti in 1940, a penniless Tennessee Williams lay in a hammock beside another writer also despairing of ever finding success, both binge-drinking rum-cocos and welcoming the dramatic storms that temporarily eclipsed their melancholy. To make matters worse, a party of German Nazis was bragging about their success in the war, and Williams' friend pitched 'the long swim to China'.

Civic Rep has two prior productions of plays by Tennessee Williams under their belt: THE TWO-CHARACTER PLAY and A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE, both of which enjoyed successful runs at New City Theatre in Seattle.

Director and actor Frank Corsaro has just been reported dead. He was 92. Corsaro was best known as the director of the 1961 production of The Night of the Iguana starring Bette Davis.
