Redhouse Artistic Director, Hunter Foster, has announced his inaugural, 2019-20 Main Stage Season featuring several Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning productions, packed with heart, humanity, and humor, and sure to delight audiences of all ages. The theme of the season will be 'the exploration of family and how its different forms navigate the spectrum of the American experience.' Hunter Foster, who was named '2018 Director of the Year' by the Wall Street Journal, will oversee all aspects of the entire season including, budgeting, casting, directing and more. Redhouse audiences will be treated to a much more immersive theatre experience as Foster plans to utilize the versatility of the theatres to create different audience configurations including a 'thrust space' and 'theatre in the round.'

Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater announces the full company for Ruth and Augustus Goetz's melodrama, The Heiress, suggested by the Henry James novel, Washington Square. After growing up subjected to her father's disinterest and strong resentment, a young woman in the 1850s discovers what love is in her journey towards independence, growth and strength, without an impactful female role model in her life. Directed by Deputy Artistic Director Seema Sueko, The Heiress runs February 8 - March 10, 2019 in the Fichandler Stage.

February 3 was the 60th Anniversary of the plane crash that killed Buddy Holly, The Big Bopper and Ritchie Valens. Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story celebrated the anniversary at the show and BroadwayWorld was there. Check out the photos below!

To commemorate the 130th anniversary of Chaplin's birth in 2019, Chaplin's Smile features Philippe Quint joined on two tracks by Quint's friend and frequent collaborator, violinistJoshua Bell. Over more than three years, Quint, in collaboration with arrangers Charles Coleman and Leon Gurvitch went through dozens of songs and soundtracks written by Chaplin to select the songs best suited for violin and piano.

The McCallum Theatre presents Paul Anka and "Anka Sings Sinatra" for two performances. The Thursday, January 31, performance at 8:00pm is presented through the generosity of Paul and Carol Hill. The Friday, February 1, performance at 8:00pm is presented through the generosity of Henry and Carol Levy and Ron and Aviva Snow. A note from Paul: "The Anka Sings Sinatra tour will honor a great artist who has influenced me more than anyone else throughout my career, Frank Sinatra.
