Stripling got his start as the lead trumpeter in the Count Basie Orchestra and will perform Armstrong's greatest hits, including his signature version of When the Saints Go Marchin' In. Commonwealth Shakespeare Company (CSC) has added three performances to its highly anticipated upcoming production of Birdy, adapted by Naomi Wallace from the novel by William Wharton, and directed by Steven Maler. The production now runs February 27 through March 17 at the Carling-Sorenson Theater at Babson College in Wellesley.

The 2016 version sees the addition of  "The Paradise," an exclusive pop-up bar with live music curated by Vagrant Bartenders. The 15th annual Tribeca Film Festival (TFF), presented by AT&T, today announced its lineup of 72 selected short films, 45 are world premieres and 53 are in competition at the Festival.

The first celebration of 2016 will be held at Old School Square Pavilion on Sunday, January 10, at 6 pm. GOOD VIBRATIONS will spotlight some of America's favorite classic rockers: Micky Dolenz of The Monkees; Felix Cavaliere of The Rascals; Mark Farner, founder of Grand Funk Railroad; Steve Augeri, the former lead singer of Journey; and John Cafferty and Michael 'Tunes' Antunes of the Beaver Brown Band, which was featured in the hit film Eddie & The Cruisers.

San Jose Stage Company launches its 33rd Season with the California Premiere of RFK, a high-stakes political drama by Jack Holmes in what the New York Magazine says is "… measured and intelligent, optimistic yet clear-eyed"  and Stage Magazine proclaims is "…a work of keen insight and humanity."  Directed by Randall King, The Stage's Artistic Director, this riveting historical drama stars David Arrow, an Associate Artist at The Stage, as RFK  whose words, struggles and ideals come to life in this tour de force of the late politician and passionate advocate for civil rights, poverty, and discrimination.
