BWW Review: A PEREGRINE FALLS at The Wild Project
by Derek McCracken - Feb 9, 2020

A Peregrine Falls at The Wild Project doesn't need to travel at breakneck speed to make an impact. Clocking in at two hours/two acts/four scenes, it moseys between three locales over three years: a Texas hospital, a hospital court, and a car dealership. Along the way, it makes an unexpected avian/automotive connection, all while hatching the story of how abuse stuns and wounds a family, collectively and individually. These birds of a feather may flock together, but their suffering is subjective.

by Chloe Rabinowitz - Feb 3, 2020

The Playwrights Realm (Founding Artistic Director Katherine Kovner and Producing Director Roberta Pereira) will presents the 2020 INK'D Festival of New Plays, showcasing new works by this year's Realm Writing Fellows Tanya Everett, Maya Macdonald, Tasha Gordon-Solmon, and Christopher Reyes (February 24-27). This year's powerful slate continues to introduce audiences to a diversity of fresh perspectives, thereby underscoring theater's potential to expand the possibilities of dramatic storytelling and engage with the world around it.

BWW Interview: HUMAN INTEREST STORY's Chameleon Actor Rob Nagle On Choosing Roles, Classics & L.A. Theatre
by Gil Kaan - Jan 28, 2020

A stalwart member of the Los Angeles Theatre community, the multi-award-winning Rob Nagle will next be appearing on the Fountain Theatre stage in the world premiere of Stephen Sachs' HUMAN INTEREST STORY, opening February 15, 2020. The ever-busy Rob managed to find some time to answer a few of my queries.

Guest Blog: Robert Bathurst On LOVE, LOSS & CHIANTI at Riverside Studios
by Marianka Swain - Jan 27, 2020

I've relished the blank stares I've received when discussing this project. The only way to get people onside has been to perform it at any opportunity - in try-outs at art galleries, pubs, clubs, an orangery, theatres. Anywhere just to get it on its hind legs and show people that the poet Christopher Reid's writing can connect instantly with an audience; his wit, clarity, sumptuous phrasing, high emotion and, I believe, superhuman ability to express feelings which most of us cannot articulate. I'd read his publications A Scattering and The Song Of Lunch in 2010, and immediately thought they could be performed live.

BWW Review: AN EVENING WITH RITA MORENO Proves Splendiferous at the Broad Stage
by Don Grigware - Nov 11, 2019

On Saturday November 9, iconic actress/singer Rita Moreno brought her one-woman show An Evening with Rita Moreno to the Broad stage in Santa Monica for one evening only. The sold out event was very exciting considering Moreno is 87 and still performing, with tremendous passion I might add. The voice is obviously not what it once was, but whose is. What is appealing to watch is how her body sways so gracefully to the rhythms, as she lovingly raises her arms and lets them move fluidly to convey the story.
