This month, ArtsWest and Intiman join forces to stage Taylor Mac's HIR, a fearless comedy about a household in revolt, from February 28 to March 25, 2018, with Intiman Artistic Director Jennifer Zeyl directing.  

Tony and Drama Desk nominee and multi-Audelco Award winner Andre De Shields and internationally acclaimed jazz vocalist Sheila Jordan are among the artists who will be honored at the 33rd Annual Bistro Awards Gala on Monday, March 12 at 6:30 pm at Gotham Comedy Club, 208 W. 23rd St. As is the Bistro Award tradition, the evening will feature performances by all of the winners.

The Odd Couple meets Thelma and Louise in this contemporary, new play, which was a recent hit at both The Humana and Williamstown Theater Festivals. Sharon, divorced, and living in a house in Iowa, decides she needs a roommate. Robyn, a slam poet from the Bronx, is escaping her past and needs to start over. Despite their differences, Sharon begins to uncover Robyn's secrets and discovers her own desire to transform her life completely. Inspired by current world events, a new adaptation of Moli re's classic comedy Tartuffe is set to premiere as the West End's first dual language theatre production, performed in both English and French. The seventeenth century comedy moves to America, where a French film tycoon finds his life uprooted by a radical American evangelist.

The Film Society of Lincoln Center announces Life Is a Dream: The Films of Ra l Ruiz (Part 2), February 9-18. Following a memorable first part in December 2016, FSLC is pleased to present the next edition of an ongoing retrospective devoted to Ruiz, among the great visionaries in film history and perhaps its most intrepid explorer of the unconscious.

Prospect Theater Company, under the leadership of Producing Artistic Director Cara Reichel and Managing Director Melissa Huber, will present MONUMENT, a collection of new mini-musicals in concert, the culmination of Prospect's 2018 Musical Theater Lab. MONUMENT, the company's 12th lab performance, will be presented on February 3, 2018 at 8pm at The TimesCenter (242 West 41st, NYC).

Seattle Opera steams up McCaw Hall this winter with a comedy about sex: Mozart's Cos fan tutte! In this story, two sisters, Dorabella and Fiordiligi, are adored by their respective fianc s Ferrando and Guglielmo. But, when the two buddies decide to test the sisters' fidelity, the plot takes an unexpected turn: each man disguises himself and begins to woo the other's lover. Soon it becomes clear that everyone's feelings are much more complicated than any of them had thought.

Windy City Playhouse announces an expansion in programming with a world-premiere immersive theatrical production, 'Southern Gothic,' premiering February 7, 2017 in an open-ended engagement.

Delaware's 2018 theatrical season begins on January 20 with openings at Candlelight Theatre, Delaware Theatre Co and UD REP Ensemble. An exultant time for Aisle Say. I will be reviewing REP on Thursday 19 Jan, DTC on Jan 20 and Candlelight on 21 Jan.

Go Comedy is excited to host the 11th annual Snow Day improv marathon. Snow Day brings together improvisors from across the area to raise money for Gilda's Club of Metro Detroit, The Tim Hayden Scholarship Fund and The Diana George Jacokes Endowment Fund. The 26 hour event will feature performances by nearly 50 improv groups including a special 2-hour family friendly block from Noon-2pm on Sunday, January 14. Performances will kick off at 8:00pm on Saturday, January 13 and continue through 10:00pm Sunday, January 14. Los Angeles LGBT Center's Lily Tomlin/Jane Wagner Cultural Arts Center and StandOut Productions have announced the world premiere screening and dvd release party for the comedy film DragTastic NYC, produced and directed by Andrea Meyerson. On Saturday, January 13 at 8pm, this special one-night-only event will include the film in its entirety followed by a Q & A with cast members Pandora Boxx, Kelly Mantle, and director Meyerson. Additionally, there will be a release party for the new dvd along with live performances by two of the artists featured in the film, Pandora Boxx and Kelly Mantle.

Bell, Southern Gothic gives audiences the opportunity to be a fly on the wall at a cocktail party in Ashford, Georgia in the 1960s where four couples gather together to celebrate a birthday.
