DRAGTASTIC NYC Gets Premiere Screening at Los Angeles LGBTQ+ Center Los Angeles LGBT Center's Lily Tomlin/Jane Wagner Cultural Arts Center and StandOut Productions have announced the world premiere screening and dvd release party for the comedy film DragTastic NYC, produced and directed by Andrea Meyerson. On Saturday, January 13 at 8pm, this special one-night-only event will include the film in its entirety followed by a Q & A with cast members Pandora Boxx, Kelly Mantle, and director Meyerson. Additionally, there will be a release party for the new dvd along with live performances by two of the artists featured in the film, Pandora Boxx and Kelly Mantle.

Nonstop hilarity ensues as five dynamic drag divas command the stage in One Night Stand Up: DragTastic NYC, directed by award-winning filmmaker Andrea Meyerson. The bold, the beautiful, and the bawdy legendary performers put their unparalleled talents to work offering up biting humor through their unique brand of storytelling. Filmed before a sold-out audience at the iconic Bowery Ballroom in New York City. This screening will include 30 minutes of never-before-seen footage, including bonus features with Mimi Imfurst.

General admission tickets are $30. VIP tickets are available ($60) which include preferred seating, a copy of the DVD, and a post-show reception. Net proceeds from all ticket sales will support the full range of free and low-cost programs and services offered by the Los Angeles LGBT Center.

Andrea Meyerson is an award-winning creator of film and television programming as well as a successful producer of concerts and live comedy shows. As founder and president of StandOut Productions, she has produced and directed more than 25 feature films, television specials and series episodes which continue to air on Showtime and Viacom's Logo Network. In 2002, Meyerson produced and directed the award-winning comedy documentary Laughing Matters. The success of the critically acclaimed film spawned three sequels. She began creating original television programming in 2007. She produced and directed numerous standup comedy specials featuring popular comics such as Niecy Nash, Alec Mapa, Kate Clinton, Suzanne Westenhoefer, Jessica Kirson, and many others. She also created THE ONE Night Stand Up series for Viacom's Logo Network, delivering 10 episodes, each showcasing a group of diverse comics. In 2012 Meyerson produced and directed the full-length documentary I Stand Corrected. The film premiered at the American Documentary Film Festival where it won the Audience Award for Best Film. Still playing at film festivals worldwide, I Stand Corrected has won a total of nine audience and/or jury awards. Since founding StandOut Productions in 1997, Meyerson has staged live events featuring Wanda Sykes, Roseanne Barr, k.d. lang, Indigo Girls, Joan Armatrading, and Brandi Carlile.

The recipient of numerous awards for her activism in the areas of LGBT and women's rights, Meyerson was recognized with the Los Angeles LGBT Center 's L.A.C.E (Lesbians Active in Community Empowerment) Award in 2002. PowerUp honored her as one of the "10 Amazing Women in Showbiz" in 2004. In 2006, she received the Outstanding Women Award from the Women's Image Network. She made history in 2007 when she became the first out lesbian to receive the YWCA's Women of Achievement Award in the Arts & Entertainment Category. In 2008, she was honored with the prestigious Human Rights Campaign's "Local Hero Award." Meyerson is also the founder of Women On A Roll, one of the country's largest social organizations for lesbians.
