The Goat, or Who Is Sylvia? Revival

Producers Sonia Friedman, Shakespeare's Globe and Paula Marie Blackare have announced complete casting for the critically acclaimed Shakespeare's Globe production of Farinelli and the King, starring three-time Tony Award-winner (Twelfth Night, Jerusalem, Boeing-Boeing) and Academy Award-winner (Bridge of Spies) Mark Rylance.

From September 6 to 10, the Hudson Village Theatre (HVT) remounts the 2016 production of RustWerk ReFinery's LOUIS RIEL: A Comic-Strip Stage Play.

The Old Globe today announced the creative team for the next show of the Globe's 2017-2018 Season, acclaimed actor and playwright James Lecesne's tour-de-force one-man show, The Absolute Brightness of Leonard Pelkey.

Bruce Willis (Moonlighting, Die Hard, Misery on Broadway) and The Burgess Group have announced the limited engagement Off-Broadway run of MUST, a compelling new play about Billy the Kid and Pat Garret written by Charles Cissel and directed by Gabriel Vega Weissman, October 30th - November 19th at The Theater at St. Clements (423 W 46th St).

Continuing its 2017 2018 Season, Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC) presents Twelfth Night. Directed by internationally acclaimed director Ethan McSweeny and featuring Antoinette Robinson (previously announced) as Viola and Tony Award-nominee Hannah Yelland as Olivia, Shakespeare's comic tale of unrequited love will run at Sidney Harman Hall (610 F Street NW) from November 14 December 20, 2017.

The Actors Fund, the national human services organization that helps everyone in performing arts and entertainment in times of need, crisis or transition, just held its Annual Gala last night, May 8, 2017. The evening celebrated Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning actor Danny DeVito, two-time Academy Award winner Sally Field, outstanding corporate leader Jo Ann Jenkins, CEO of AARP and 21-time Tony Award-winning theatrical director and producer Harold Prince. Mr. DeVito, Ms. Field and Ms. Jenkins were awarded The Actors Fund's Medal of Honor. Mr. Prince received The Actors Fund's Lifetime Achievement Award.

Audiences have just over three weeks left to see this provocative and controversial box office hit production led by Damian Lewis and Sophie Okonedo, directed by Ian Rickson. The final performance of the strictly limited 12 week run at the Theatre Royal Haymarket will be held on 24 June.

Ian Rickson's revival also features Damian Lewis, Sophie Okonedo and Jason Hughes, and begins previews at Theatre Royal Haymarket on 24 March.

The New York Times is reporting that Albee's museum-worthy collection of fine art, which includes works by Arp, Kandinsky, and more, will be sold at auction. The money will then be donated to The Edward Albee Foundation, an institution that provides residency to emerging artists in Montauk. The collection is valued at over $9 million.
