Sundance Institute announced today the acting company for its Theatre Lab at MASS MoCA. This program will run March 28 - April 11, 2010 at MASS MoCA in North Adams, Mass. Under the artistic direction of Philip Himberg, Producing Artist Director of the Sundance Institute Theatre Program, the Lab will provide fellows with guidance in the development of new work for the stage.

Among those taking part in the special event will be two-time Academy Award winner and two-time Obie Award winner Diane Wiest (Memory House at Playwrights Horizons/PH, Hannah and Her Sisters, Bullets Over Broadway), Tony Award winner Debra Monk (Assassins at PH, Redwood Curtain, Curtains), Obie Award winner Jason Butler Harner (current Stage Manager in Our Town, Hedda Gabler, The Coast of Utopia), Clarence Derwent Award winner Zoe Kazan (100 Saints You Should Know at PH; Come Back, Little Sheba; Things We Want), Theatre World Award winner Cassie Beck (The Drunken City and Prayer for My Enemy at PH), Cristin Milioti (The Retributionists at PH, the upcoming The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter), Sue Jean Kim (The Drunken City and BFE at PH, 365 Days/365 Plays), Carmen M. East West Players (EWP), the nation's premier Asian American theatre, continues its 44th season, themed Art Is..., with the west coast premiere of PO BOY TANGO, by Kenneth Lin. This production will be directed by the artistic director of The Chance Theater in Orange County, Oanh Nguyen. It will bring back to the EWP stage two of EWP's veteran actors, Jeanne Sakata and Dennis Dun and introduce African American actress Cece Antoinette.

THE THUGS is directed by Steve Busa and Jairus Abts, Kirby Bennett, Leif Jurgensen, Julie Kurtz, Katherine Kupiecki, Miriam Must, Sigrid Sutter, and Toni Trussoni.
