A Noise Within, the acclaimed classical repertory theatre company, has been granted funds for six American Sign Language(ASL)- Interpreted performances and a number of scholarships for each by the Ellingsen Family Fund. The grant provides the opportunity for hearing-impaired individuals to attend performances interpreted by two professionals trained in theatrical ASL interpretation.

Directed by Damaso Rodriguez, the show runs from tonight, October 20 through Sunday, November 25 with previews beginning on Saturday, October 13. There will be a 'Pay What You Can" performance on Thursday, October 18.

This production, the second of Primary Stages' 28th season will feature Tony Award nominee Hallie Foote (Harrison, TX…, Dividing the Estate) Tim Hopper (Present Laughter, The Dying Gaul, Steppenwolf), Adam LeFevre (The Doctor's Dilemma), and Adina Verson (The Winter's Tale at Yale Rep). MARVELL REP, which received a Drama Desk Award nomination as Best Revival for its production of THE THREEPENNY OPERA earlier this season, announced casting today for Sholem Asch's GOD OF VENGEANCE (October 2-28) and Frank Wedekind's play SPRING'S AWAKENING (October 8-November 4) presented in rotating repertory at TBG Theatre, 312 West 36th Street. Producers of The Gershwins' PORGY AND BESS, the 2012 Tony Award winner for Best Revival of a Musical, announced today that Audra McDonald has been ordered on a period of complete vocal rest by her doctor through the end of the month. As a result of performing with a respiratory infection last week, her vocal cords have become inflamed to a point where she cannot sing. She is scheduled to return to the production on Tuesday, July 3, 2012.

Highlights of the forthcoming productions at the National Theatre, announced today by Nicholas Hytner, include new plays by Alan Bennett, Stephen Beresford, Lisa D'Amour, James Graham and Lucy Prebble.
