The Huntington Theatre Company announces the following special events in conjunction with its production of A.R. Gurney's The Cocktail Hour (now - December 15, 2013 at the Avenue of the Arts / BU Theatre):

BAM presents the New York Premiere of A Rite as part of 2013 Next Wave Festival. The collaborative work by Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company and Siti Company deconstructs the legendary score through our current cultural moment. The production runs at the BAM Howard Gilman Opera House (30 Lafayette Ave), tonight, Oct 3-5 at 7:30pm. Tickets start at $20.

Cindy Williams is best known for starring from 1976 to 1982 in the television situation-comedy seriesLaverne & Shirley, in the role of Shirley Feeney, and for her role as Laurie Henderson in the classic film American Graffiti.

Ms. Williams brings her considerable talents to the Alhambra for four special weeks, September 18 through October 20, 2013. Williams began her professional career by landing national commercials, which included Foster Grant sunglasses and TWA. Her first roles in television, among others, were on Room 222, Nanny and the Professor and Love, American Style. Weekend Comedy opens September 18 and runs until October 20, 2013.

The premiere of Igor Stravinsky's Le Sacre du printemps and the ensuing riot in response to its revolutionary sound and Vaslav Nijinsky's radical choreography has become music and dance legend. Since that fateful night in 1913, this innovative piece of music has inspired countless composers and choreographers. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is one step closer to finding a cure for cystic fibrosis thanks to a little help from some superstar friends. More than $1 million was raised in support of cystic fibrosis research efforts last night during a special performance 'Adding Tomorrows with Celine Dion,' a partnership with international music icon Celine Dion, Caesars Entertainment, AEG Live and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Held at Caesars Palace, the evening included a performance of Celine Dion's glamorous show by Grammy Awards producer Ken Ehrlich and featured a touching tribute to those with cystic fibrosis during her rendition of Billy Joel's 'Lullabye.'

Producers of THE ADDAMS FAMILY announced additional dates today for the Fall 2012 leg of the musical's North American tour. The production will play Dallas (Oct. 2 - 21), Seattle (Oct. 24 - Nov. 11), Salt Lake City (Nov. 13 - 18), Las Vegas (Nov.20 - 25), Tempe (Dec. 11 - 16) and Costa Mesa (Dec. 18 - 30). Plus, Curtis Holbrook (West Side Story, Xanadu) will join the cast of the national tour as "Lucas Beineke."

On Thursday, November 17 at 7:30 p.m. in Zankel Hall, the Carnegie Hall Notables-a membership and ticket program for music enthusiasts in their 20s and 30s-will host Love Letters, a performance of contemporary American playwright A. R. Gurney's work. Celebrated soprano Renée Fleming and award-winning actor Alec Baldwin will perform the piece as directed by Mark Lamos with executive producer Susan Q. Gallin. After the exclusive event, the Notables will gather at Providence for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, with music by Paul D. Miller, aka DJ Spooky.
