BWW Interview: Alexandra Burke Talks CHICAGO at Phoenix Theatre

Alexandra Burke is a singer, songwriter and actress who shot to fame in 2008 after winning The X Factor. In addition to releasing three albums, she has been seen in the UK tour of Sister Act and recently in the London Coliseum production of Chess.
Burke has just joined the cast of Chicago, in which she will be portraying Roxie until 14 October. After that, she returns to the role of Rachel Marron in The Bodyguard, a role she previously played in London and on tour.

George Street Playhouse, temporarily located at 103 College Farm Road in New Brunswick, will open its 2018-19 5-play season on October 16th with the world premiere of a riveting courtroom drama. The season also features a world premiere musical about the legendary Nina Simone, written by and starring Laiona Michelle who gave a searing performance in last season's American Hero.
EPIX Greenlights Comedy Docuseries UNPROTECTED SETS

Premium television network EPIX has greenlit an all-new original docuseries Unprotected Sets, which will premiere Friday, October 5 at 11 PM ET/PT. From executive producers Wanda Sykes and Page Hurwitz (Push It Productions), Barry Poznick, President of MGM's Unscripted Television and MGM Television, the series will take a raw, unfiltered look at stand up through the eyes of the funniest up and coming comedians from across the country. The series will shoot in Portland, San Diego, Washington, D.C., Minneapolis and Atlanta. Hurwitz will be the series showrunner.

As Rick, the former warden of one facility, awaits sentencing for events which happened under his watch, he is interviewed by Gloria, a historian who has come in search of the truth about how the unthinkable became the inevitable.
