The Drayton Festival Theatre has launched its 2012 Season with one of the most popular musicals in theatre history. The Sound of Music, described as 'a timeless masterpiece about the power of love and music,' opens the theatre's 22nd Season on a high note.

The original, one-hour special - narrated by Bill Paxton - recounts the personal war-time journey of Major Joel Glenn, a Silver- Star-decorated two-tour soldier, who leaves his young wife and family and plunges head-long into service as a helicopter pilot in the Army at the start of U.S. combat involvement in 1965.

The Tribeca Film Festival has unveiled films screening in its Spotlight and genre-centered Cinemania section as well as Special Screenings and its Tribeca/ESPN Sports Film Festival lineup.

Camoletti directed 1 movie, a 1979 adaptation of his play Duos sur canape. It's estimated that 20 million people have seen his plays live and 500 million people have seen a recorded version.

The Tribeca Film Festival (TFF), presented by American Express, today announced its feature film selections in the Spotlight and Cinemania sections, as well as Special Screenings and the Tribeca/ESPN Sports Film Festival lineup. The 11th edition of the Festival will take place from April 18 to April 29 in New York City.

Playwright Angus MacLachlan (author of the highly acclaimed film Junebug) is named the 2012 ACT New Play Award winner for Abundant Acreage Available. Two FREE staged readings will be presented in ACT's Bullitt Cabaret February 25-26, 2012. Immediately following each reading are post-play discussions with the playwright and the director, Anita Montgomery.
